13:42 Ayr

The first horse from my Notebook runs in the opener at Ayr and is already well fancied in the market. REFUGE for Michael and David Easterby is on a hat-trick after two nice wins at Hamilton. He hasn’t won by huge margins which means the handicapper has only put him up 5lbs here. With conditions in his favour again he seems the type to be able win at least one more time off of marks in the 60s and is the one to beat here.

It doesn’t look a strong field which only enhances his chances with the main danger looking like Gullane One who is back down in-trip and he may be the one to give the selection something to think about without being good enough to beat him.

16:20 Tramore

This horse has been in my tracker since going close twice over hurdles at the end of the season and SIGHT NOR SEEN does look off a good mark now chasing. He ran well in a beginners chase over course and distance in April and that run would have given him the experience to make a bold bid off a mark of 100 and I think he will be well found in the market nearer the off.

Reverse Polarity is edging favouritism at the time of writing likely based on his potential now stepping up in-trip rather than his recent form. I think he is there to be taken on and Tullyveery Lad in the first time blinkers could have a bigger say in the result of this race and rates the main danger.
