13:35 Chelmsford

This looks a competitive 0-65 nursery handicap and I feel QUEEN OF ROMFORD (best priced at 7/1) is overpriced with her proven course form.

The Alice Haynes trained filly finished well beaten on her debut at Lingfield on turf but put in a career best effort over 6f here when only beaten 3 ¼ length in 3rd. She finished 5th at Lingfield on the AW last time and has been given an opening handicap mark of 64.

Queen Of Romford steps up in trip to 7f on her handicap debut and I expect her to run well with Tom Marquand booked from Stall 2.

14:10 Chelmsford

The Michael Bell trained LILA GIRL (best priced at 10/11) has form figures of 211 over this course and distance and she should hold strong claims once again off a 6lb higher mark.

The three-year-old made a winning reappearance over this course and distance in May when victorious in novice race before making winning handicap debut last time off an opening mark of 71.

The handicapper has raised Lila Girl 6lbs for that 2 ¼ length success and she should prove hard to beat despite going up in class to a 0-85 handicap.

The Archie Watson trained NOBLE ANTHEM (best priced at 11/10) should prove well handicapped off a mark of 85 based on the form of his latest 4th placed effort at Newcastle.

The son of Starspangledbanner won by 2 ¼ lengths at Thirsk in May before finishing 4th in a strong novice race at Newcastle under a penalty last time.

Noble Anthem finished behind the 109 rated Royal Ascot winner Eldar Eldarov, the 89 rated Post Impressionist and the 94 rated Honiton so he looks well handicapped off a mark of 85 on his return to turf.

Connections have found him what looks a relatively weak 0-85 handicap for his handicap debut and I expect him to prove hard to beat.
