Goldilocks drops significantly in grade following a below-par run in a Listed contest at Newbury, but her all-weather record is currently unknown. Therefore, preference is for BRUNEL CHARM, who kept on well to win by a length and three-quarters at Lingfield last month and is rated 4lb higher for that win. He previously lost out by a neck on his penultimate outing over this C&D, but Spangled Mac may not be far behind him having shown promise in novice races recently.
Prediction : 1st Brunel Charm 2nd Spangled Mac 3rd Goldilocks

Despite carrying a 7lb penalty for a comfortable win on her debut, KINTA indicated that there would be more to come having run on well to lead in the closing stages at Lingfield last month. George Boughey's filly is entitled to come on for that introduction and she must not be taken lightly for an in-form stable. Debater's dam won on the all-weather, so Hugo Palmer's charge could make a comfortable switch from turf to Polytrack, along with Midnight Flame, who has shown signs of ability in two turf starts.
Prediction : 1st Kinta 2nd Debater 3rd Midnight Flame

Having been markedly eased in grade, GOLDEN LYRA looks to make a return to the winner's enclosure following a good second in a Listed race on her most recent outing at Newbury. She was beaten a length by Stay Alert, but kept on well during that outing and a step up to 1m4f could suit. River Of Stars can be feared ahead of stablemate Allemande, who is an interesting newcomer.
Prediction : 1st Golden Lyra 2nd River Of Stars 3rd Allemande

Red Royalist ran well over this C&D on his last start on the level in March but has not made much impact over obstacles since, while Call My Bluff has been in excellent form on turf but his last run on the all-weather ended in a very heavy defeat at Southwell. Perhaps it was Tapeta that was his undoing there as he is a previous C&D winner, but a safer option could be VINO VICTRIX. A winner when last tried over this trip, Hughie Morrison's charge has run respectably over 1m4f here the last twice and could be a tough nut to crack at this distance.
Prediction : 1st Vino Victrix 2nd Red Royalist 3rd Call My Bluff

SEMSER failed to fire over a furlong shorter at Lingfield last time but he was far to free on his first start since January and a return to his winter form could make him tough to beat. Cabrakan wasn't too far away at Bath last time and could be better for this drop in trip, while They Don't Know and Lady Valentine consistent enough to make their presence felt.
Prediction : 1st Semser 2nd Cabrakan 3rd They Dont Know

FLINTSTONE went close over this C&D in April and though subsequent runs have not been up to that standard, he is 2lb lower here and is fitted with blinkers for the first time. Little Raven won well ar Wolverhampton two starts ago but flopped at Leicester latest. He could improve for the return to the all-weather, while Rose's Girl is creeping up the weights without winning but did get within a length of success at Lingfield last time.
Prediction : 1st Flintstone 2nd Little Raven 3rd Roses Girl

Successful three times since joining Alice Haynes, GIGI'S BEACH didn't get the clearest run when fourth at Lingfield on his latest start and can land the spoils. One Step Beyond is seeking his third successive win and warrants plenty of respect, while Magical Dragon, who has the services of Tom Marquand, is another to note along with Gary Moore's Silastar.
Prediction : 1st Gigis Beach 2nd One Step Beyond 3rd Magical Dragon

A few in this field have questions to answer and it might be worth taking a chance on ADELISA, who makes her debut for Kevin Philippart De Foy after dropping to an attractive mark. Boasty produced a creditable effort when third in a stronger race at Lingfield last time and is feared, while Just Amber posted some solid efforts at this track last year and cannot be discounted either.
Prediction : 1st Adelisa 2nd Boasty 3rd Just Amber
