The two with experience didn't show enough on their first outings to merit consideration and THORNBROOK is a hopeful choice to prove the sharpest of several well-bred newcomers. The Saxon Warrior filly is a half-sister to five winners including last season's Listed winning juvenile Seisai who broke her maiden on her second outing. Dame Kiri is the first foal of a Group-placed 1m winner who is a full-sister to Group 1 winner Alice Springs. Along with stablemate Maybe Just Maybe, a half-sister to recent 1m2f winner Cougar, and the selection, she holds an entry in the Moyglare Stud Stakes. A Moment Like This, from a yard whose two-year-olds have been doing well of late, is a daughter of Galileo out of a top-class dirt performer in America.
Prediction : 1st Thornbrook 2nd Dame Kiri 3rd Maybe Just Maybe

ZAHEE was a C&D winner in April and was second off this mark when returning here last month. He didn't land a blow at Naas last time but this hold-up performer can go well back at Leopardstown although he's a horse that needs luck in running. Listowel maiden winner Apple Of His Eye was runner-up to Morning Approach over C&D last month and is going the right way. The latter has since finished in mid-division at the Curragh and Apple Of His Eye may have more scope for progression. Elzaam Blue has been running consistently in similar contests over this trip and may benefit from the fitting of headgear while Chaos Control has been runner-up in three handicaps this term and went down by only a neck over C&D on his penultimate start.
Prediction : 1st Zahee 2nd Apple Of His Eye 3rd Elzaam Blue

A maiden winner over C&D at two, McTIGUE can record a second win at this venue after a fine second in a premier handicap at the Curragh on Irish Derby weekend. That was a big improvement on the form of his previous starts this term and he can defy a 3lb higher mark in this less competitive contest. All In The Mind has been progressive this season and built on his maiden win at Tipperary with a runner-up berth over 7f at the Curragh. He's risen quite sharply in the ratings but comes here in great fettle and has to be respected. Howth was beaten less than a length in a Group 2 over C&D last season but has been well held in stakes company since. He drops in grade now with a 7lb claimer employed and a more prominent showing would be no surprise.
Prediction : 1st Mctigue 2nd All In The Mind 3rd Howth

REVERBERATION hasn't won since completing a hat-trick just over two years ago at this venue. He's had plenty of racing in the interim and is obviously risky but he has come down a long way in the ratings and shaped well when second to the in-form Fennor Cross over a furlong further at Down Royal. Smaoineamh Sile made the breakthrough over C&D three weeks ago and is now 10lb higher. She overcame a similarly wide draw on that occasion and is open to more improvement. Pro Bono and Innamorare took minor honours behind Smaoineamh Sile last time and have to enter calculations although both are drawn very wide, while Morning Dew was third at Listowel and Billy Lee has a very good strike rate when riding for her trainer Andrew Kinirons.
Prediction : 1st Reverberation 2nd Smaoineamh Sile 3rd Morning Dew

ENTROPY was runner-up in a couple of C&D handicaps earlier in the season before easily landing a maiden at Sligo. Even though the third home on that occasion has since won, it was a pretty ordinary contest and the selection was maybe a bit unfortunate to be given a 6lb hike in the ratings. Nonetheless, he's going the right way and clearly goes well at this venue. In-foal mare Atavique is on a hat-trick and has to be respected after her Ulster Oaks victory at Down Royal. She was a little slowly away on that occasion and did well to win in the circumstances. Gowran maiden winner Flying Dolphin acquitted himself very well when fifth in a 1m4f handicap at Royal Ascot and is one for the shortlist along with Star Harbour who has twice run well in valuable 1m handicaps at the Curragh this year.
Prediction : 1st Entropy 2nd Atavique 3rd Flying Dolphin

LILY POND was a little over two lengths off the winner Rosscarbery when third in the Munster Oaks at Cork and is now 3lb better off. Aidan O'Brien's three-year-old, a maiden winner at Dundalk on her debut in April, is open to plenty of improvement and may be able to turn around the form over this longer trip. Rosscarbery was completing a four-timer when landing that Group 3 at Cork and has since finished third past the post in a Group 1 at the Curragh. Her rider weighed in 5lb light and she was subsequently placed last but it was still a fine run. She ran poorly over C&D on her final outing last season but has been highly progressive since joining her current trainer. Pita Pinta finished behind Quenelle D'or, who is one of three British raiders, in a Royal Ascot handicap but is a little better off at the weights and she had previously run well when runner-up in a Listed contest over this trip at Gowran Park.
Prediction : 1st Lily Pond 2nd Rosscarbery 3rd Pita Pinta

The lightly-raced OKITA SOUSHI ran a cracker when staying on well for third in a Royal Ascot handicap and the extra furlong here will be a help to him. Joseph O'Brien's charge, a maiden winner at Fairyhouse last year and runner-up in a Listed race at the Curragh on seasonal debut, is open to more improvement and the winner of his race at Ascot franked the form last weekend. Shanroe won a premier handicap at the Curragh last year and was a fine fourth in the Ebor. He may be better for this first run of the year but loves good ground and merits plenty of respect. Sandhurst has a lofty rating after finishing runner-up in last year's Chester Vase but hasn't been since. He starts off for new connections here and the market will be informative, while the selection's stablemate Shoshone Warrior has some good C&D form including a close third in last year's renewal.
Prediction : 1st Okita Soushi 2nd Shanroe 3rd Shoshone Warrior
