He was caught in the final stride on that occasion and had two subsequent maiden winners behind him in third and fourth. The former point-to-point winner has the rating to win this if restored to that kind of form. Will You Win gets 10lb from the selection and has plenty of experience to draw upon. She was runner-up in a similar contest at Downpatrick in May and was a fair fourth over fences last time. Bella Union, related to plenty of winning jumpers including his prolific stablemate Go Another One, wasn't beaten far in two bumpers in Britain in the spring and merits respect on hurdling debut.

This longer trip will suit the in-form mare who had previously won a handicap chase over 2m4f at Wexford. Sargent Lightfoot is still seeking a first win but has plenty of solid form in the book and made the frame in two of his last three starts, including over this trip at Naas when last seen in March.

The ten-year-old had previously been second over hurdles at the Punchestown festival and is likely to be hard to beat back in this sphere. He was a course winner over fences on stable debut two years ago. The selection's half-sister Sweet Sting, a former stablemate of his at Michael Bowe's yard, could be a danger. The four-time winner stays well and scored readily over this trip at Tipperary in May. She was second to a progressive sort over 2m4f back there last week. Toss Again beat a subsequent winner in a Ballinrobe maiden and steps up to 3m on handicap debut with a tongue-tie now fitted, while Willaston was a creditable third at Clonmel and has a handy weight on his back.

EVERGLOW did nothing wrong when touched off by a neck at Wexford and can go one better. Noel Meade's charge has acquired plenty of experience over the larger obstacles and this longer trip should be within his compass. Caesar Rock was rated a good bit lower over hurdles compared to several of these rivals but made a bright start over fences when second over 3m at Punchestown. He was a place in front of the selection on that occasion and is obviously open to plenty of improvement. Chinx Of Light has won three of his five starts over hurdles and is an interesting contender on chase debut while Walking On Glass shaped with promise on his chasing bow at Clonmel. Alfa Mix, very useful over hurdles, went close in a handicap at Punchestown in November and drops back into beginners company after struggling in valuable handicaps since then.

ILIKEDWAYURTHINKIN was no match for the winner Rock Road but still emerged with credit when runner-up in the Mayo National at Ballinrobe. Previously second over this trip in a handicap hurdle at the Aintree Grand National meeting, Gavin Cromwell's charge still has some upside over fences and can go close. Recite A Prayer has been very progressive this year and landed the Killarney National over a furlong further in May. He's up another 7lb for that but this scopey sort could continue on the upgrade. Popong was runner-up at Roscommon and enters calculations along with Hurricane Georgie who has been in good form over hurdles and steps up in trip. Freewheelin Dylan, who didn't get home in the Grand National, won this two years ago and it looks like he'll have ground conditions in his favour.

STATE OF HONOR has been consistent and might get her turn.
