The Linda Perratt trained Sixcor (best priced at 6/1) has been extremely consistent since being fitted with cheekpieces and boasts form figures of 121324 in headgear. The four-year-old won over 5f here off a mark of 46 before finishing a close 2nd at Musselburgh off a 4lb higher mark. The gelding won again at Ayr over 5f in June off a mark of 54 before placing at both Musselburgh and Carlisle off marks of 58.

Sixcor returned back to Ayr last time over 6f where he was a well backed 11/4 favourite but was given too much to do under Zak Wheatley and eventually finished a never nearer 4th beaten only 1 ¼ lengths. Connections have booked Harry Russell for the ride to take off 3lbs and he should run well off the same mark of 58 with up to five places on offer.

Sixcor - 0.5pts e/w @ 6/1

Evolicatt holds strong claims in this maiden with a rating of 70 but preference instead goes to The Toff (best priced at 15/8) who has run well on his two career starts to date. The son of Dandy Man ran well on his debut to finish 3rd at Chepstow before finishing 2nd at Nottingham on his next start.

The Toff received an RPR of 76 for his latest run which is better than the highest RPR of 70 that Evolicatt achieved last time so I expect The Toff to get off the mark at the third attempt.

The Toff - 1pt @ 15/8

At The Double (best priced at 11/2) looks like a standard Sir Mark Prescott improver who should appreciate this step up in trip on his handicap debut. The three-year-old has finished well beaten in all three of his career starts when sent off 150/1, 200/1 and 300/1 over trips of 7f and a mile but now steps up in trip to 1m6f on his handicap debut.

At The Double has been given a lowly handicap mark of 54 for this handicap debut and I think he is worth backing on his return from 256 days off the track.
