Solar Joe ran on well despite a tardy start to win easily at Pontefract last time. He has to be feared but he has been inevitably well found in the market and this is definitely a tougher race carrying a 5lb penalty. I much prefer the chances of JEAN BAPTISTE for Roger Fell. This 5yo won in good style at Chester last month and up just 2lb he should have every chance of following up. He travelled notably well last time and a similar performance here would see him go close. Alpine Sierra won nicely here back in May before going down just a head at Musselburgh last month. He has to enter calculations especially back at this venue and might even emerge as the main threat to the selection if the favourite fails to back it up in this stronger company. Pisanello best of the rest but a bit to prove off the back of that run at Carlisle last time where he could only finish seventh.
