Helen De Pourtales, who has been with her current trainer since last year, was touched off by a head at Bellewstown and has every chance on that form. Cedar Rapids is another to take seriously.

The form of his Curragh fifth was boosted when the fourth won at this venue on Monday and no doubt he'll improve for the experience and probably for going an extra furlong. Gimme Shelter is a full-brother to his trainer's Crossfirehurricane who won his four starts including two at stakes level. He's a newcomer to note. Of the fillies, maiden winners Papilio and Comhra were outclassed in a strong Group 2 over 6f at the Curragh and both should be suited by stepping up to this trip.

A good opportunity for COWBOY JUSTICE to gain his first win of the campaign. A slow start at Chester sealed his fate in a valuable 7f handicap last time but his previous half-length second over this trip at Naas was a creditable effort. The form of that race has since been boosted by the third. That's Just Dandy gives Jessica Harrington a strong hand. A maiden winner on the all-weather for his previous trainer, his two placed runs in early season handicaps over 7f were good runs and an in-form claimer is on board. Alessandro Algardi disappointed on his reappearance at Limerick after a maiden win at Cork last year but is surely better than that while Ice Cold Alex will, as ever, be thereabouts but needs everything to fall right for him to gain a sixth career success.

PANAMA RED has to carry a 3lb penalty for her Listed win at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend but has shown that she's up to further stakes success. She didn't turn up in the Irish 1,000 Guineas but her two runs in Classic trials at Leopardstown were full of promise and she was unlucky in the second of them. Cigamia only had two rivals to beat when winning over C&D in May but the runner-up filled the same spot in a Listed contest next time. Willie McCreery's filly was then fourth of 28 in the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot which was an excellent effort. Sh Boom is a more than useful second string for Ger Lyons and hasn't been beaten far in two Group races at the Curragh this season.

Nothing with outstanding form claims and a chance is taken with INDIANA ROSE. Pat Martin had a winner and a second at Fairyhouse on Sunday and his record at Killarney over the years has been very good. Dylan Browne McMonagle has enjoyed plenty of success for this stable and rode the selection to win over 6f at Naas last term. She has yet to prove her effectiveness over 1m but it's interesting that her trainer is persevering with her over this trip. Heer At Dawn, second at Bellewstown last time, has been running well of late but isn't the strongest of finishers in her races. Barnhill Rose's fourth in another 1m handicap at Bellewstown was her best effort so far while Scariff represents a yard which targets races at this venue and is coming into form.

Cases could be made for plenty of these but TUDOR MANOR is unexposed and has Declan McDonogh's assistance for the first time. The dual-purpose gelding, twice runner-up in maiden hurdles, was beaten a nose over this trip on handicap debut at Limerick and can go one better. Estepona Sun will be 5lb higher in future handicaps after his close second to stablemate Boom Boom Boom at Navan on Saturday. He can run off the same mark here so his chance is obvious. Barometer had a nice run at Tipperary and his stable would have left a bit to work on for this meeting. Intend was beaten less than a length when fourth to Grace Solution at Sligo. Both horses are lightly-raced and merit consideration.

UNANSWERED will be nap material for many and can take this before rolling on to Galway. Before his hurdles win at Punchestown, he won twice on the Flat and it's likely that he's still a nice bit ahead of the handicapper. He beat subsequent winner Harry's Legacy over this trip on his latest Flat start at Gowran and even though he needs plenty of stoking along in the middle part of his races, the long straight in Killarney will give him plenty of time to pick up the leaders. Hurdles winner Walnut Beach is slowly coming down the ratings and Declan McDonogh takes over from an inexperienced apprentice. Sole three-year-old White Strand made a bright start in handicaps when second at Limerick but that form hasn't really worked out and his stamina for an extra 3f is unproven. Ex-French Striking, a half-brother to smart jumper Supasundae, is one to note on handicap debut.
