Finn Russell, who contested the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot, and War Treaty are also feared.

The son of Mehmas, who won at Haydock in June, appears capable of further progress. Motashaweq won on his debut for Iain Jardine in a novice event over C&D and has to be respected on handicap debut. Raydoun and Rhythm are others worth considering.

Edward Cornelius performed respectably in a competitive three-year-old handicap at York on his latest outing and could make a bold bid. However, he may have to settle for minor honours behind SNAZZY JAZZY, who was successful over C&D before not getting the clearest run in the Buckingham Palace at Royal Ascot last time. Tipperary Tiger, a winner over course and distance on his penultimate start, can also figure.

Nahanni couldn't match a respectable Epsom Derby run in the Queen's Vase last time but, following a longer break leading into this race, the son of Frankel warrants plenty of respect. However, preference is for the well-bred WEST WIND BLOWS, who wasn't disgraced in the Derby on just his third run and could still have more to offer. After finishing second in the Fairway Stakes on his latest start, Zain Sarinda cannot be ruled out either.

Francisco Bay drops in class following a disappointing run at Newbury on his latest outing and is noted.

Tim Easterby's charge was denied by a neck when failing to justify favouritism at Pontefract on his most recent run and a drop to this class could see him shed his maiden tag. Fortuitous Star is another not to be taken lightly.
