With the heatwave we don’t have much racing on Monday but I did think IBERIA stuck out as being a little overpriced (already backed 11/2 into 4/1 this morning). This son of Galileo won a maiden hurdle at Gowran last year before showing up well to finish third at Limerick. He failed to fire in a couple of starts on the Flat for his new yard and is expected to strip a lot fitter from that run over C&D last month. He is down another 5lb and really should be getting competitive if rediscovering that form from Ireland last year. Those efforts on the clock would give him leading claims in this company. Saywhatyouwant has had a wind op so might be capable of better but she is by no means one to trust and I’m surprised she is so short in the betting. Star Vantage tackles hurdles now and if his jumping holds up he looks most likely to be the danger to the selection.
