For just a four-runner race this is one of the best contests of the day and I do like the chances of JUNGLE TIME for Karl Burke. This filly won over C&D on just her second start and after a short break caught the eye when second at Hamilton last week. She was well backed that day and just looked to bump into one in the shape of Match Play. The winner looked a nice colt for Kevin Ryan so I don’t think there was any disgrace in missing out there as that form should hold up. If Star Of Lady M and Explicit take each other on this could set up for a closer and given she will likely be more effective over 6f in time this could pan out perfectly. Explicit was obviously impressive at York last month but was last at that venue earlier this month and has enough to prove on that run. Star Of Lady M looks the danger despite her mark looking a bit stiff.

I’m surprised TROUBLED TIMES isn’t shorter than 7/4 given the lack of strength in depth in this contest. She ran out an impressive winner of her bumper on debut at Killarney back in May and while she could only finish fourth on hurdles debut at Tipperary I think that was a really encouraging effort. She moved through the race like a nice horse and stepping back down in trip in what looks an easier maiden I think she’ll be tough to beat. She struck me as a horse that would come on plenty for the experience and with a lack of any real quality in here it really should be an ideal opportunity. Rebel Rose has plenty of experience to draw on and she will be in the mix but for win purposes I think she’ll prove vulnerable again. At the bigger prices Ask Charlie is interesting having ran well to finish third at Downpatrick just 6 days ago.
