TROUBLED TIMES should have derived enough benefit from her recent hurdling debut at Tipperary to go three places better now. The form of her Killarney bumper win couldn't have worked out much better, with the next three home all going on to success since. The Sam Curling trained daughter of Shirocco should make up into an above average summer jumper. Rebel Rose has been largely consistent since switching to hurdling, placing on four of her five starts to date. Jack Kennedy looks a significant booking for the Mark Fahey trained mare. She boasts the highest official rating in the field and has an experience advantage over most. Allbetsoff, Borntobeyours and Will You Win are others worthy of consideration.

First reserve Kilgorey has indicated race-winning potential in the past and he'd be interesting if making the line-up, with this trip promising to suit the point-to-point victor well. Following a fast-finishing third placing there behind Shantou Warrior, jockey Declan Queally reported to the stewards' secretaries that his mount missed the break and struggled to get into the race thereafter, on a track that she may not have handled on only her second handicap run. Up in trip now off just a 1lb higher mark, all seems set fair for a big performance. Beginning for the David Dunne yard off a lengthy break, Captain Court certainly requires a market check.

DUNCREEVAN was backed at big prices before finishing third in a useful Leopardstown bumper in March of last year and the pair who beat the Doyen gelding have gone on to become very capable hurdlers. The six-year-old is fitted with a tongue-tie on this first start for Gavin Cromwell and, despite his long layoff, if he runs to anywhere near that form he'll be hard to beat. Follow The Brave was well fancied for a Punchestown Festival bumper but didn't live up to expectations with a midfield finish. It goes without saying that the champion trainer's charge could easily leave that debut form well behind. Kilbarry Lilac was narrowly beaten on debut at Tramore last year and her comeback fourth at Wexford was another solid effort. She has a good chance of being in the money again. Mount Barker, a half-brother to three winning jumpers, one of whom won a bumper on debut, is another to consider.
