SHAHNAZ is turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty after an easy win at Hamilton last week and she seems to be a filly on the upgrade. If she has recovered from those efforts she may hold off Flylikeaneagle, who ran on well when second over the Ayr mile last time and will be better suited by the added furlong here for a stable in good form. Ayr Poet is another to consider seriously having won over C&D three times, the latest in April 2021 off 3lb higher, and he could yet mount a big challenge.
Prediction : 1st Shahnaz 2nd Flylikeaneagle 3rd Ayr Poet

Maureen's Lass is worth a market watch ahead of her debut for a stable in good form, but she might have her work cut out to cope with LADY LAVINA. Although she let her supporters down when a beaten favourite at Pontefract last month, she has every chance on her Chelmsford second on the all-weather and has been found a race that may not take much winning. Sweet Fortune should have more to offer as she learns her trade after showing signs of inexperience at Ripon and she could be the one to follow them home.
Prediction : 1st Lady Lavina 2nd Maureens Lass 3rd Sweet Fortune

REPUTATION hasn't won since 2019, but he has been showing signs of a return to form recently and is clearly well handicapped if he can be cajoled back to anything near his best. Baileys Liberty receives 19lb from the selection and looks a huge danger after her maiden win at Carlisle. She could also go well, while Celestial Star is another who is hard to ignore in a first-time visor.
Prediction : 1st Reputation 2nd Baileys Liberty 3rd Celestial Star

Despite the fact he's yet to make the frame in six starts, THE GAY BLADE has shown enough to suggest he can win a race of this nature. He wasn't disgraced here when sixth over 5f last month and, getting weight from the field, Iain Jardine's gelding can get off the mark. Bobby Shaftoe has also yet to win a race, but he's gone close on a few occasions and can chase the selection home. Monaadhil is another to consider in a tricky-looking contest.
Prediction : 1st The Gay Blade 2nd Bobby Shaftoe 3rd Monaadhil

Star Of Lady M will find this much easier than when well beaten in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. She brings the most solid form to the table having won three of her first four starts, but she might just struggle to give 11lb to JUNGLE TIME. Karl Burke's filly wasn't disgraced in Listed company at York back in May and after a good second only five days ago at Hamilton, she can return to the winner's enclosure here. Explicit looks the most likely to chase them home.
Prediction : 1st Jungle Time 2nd Star Of Lady M 3rd Explicit

THE THIN BLUE LINE has not been beaten far off this mark on his last couple of starts and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the four-year-old to earn his fifth career victory. Primo's Comet is an obvious threat to the selection following two second-placed finishes in recent weeks, while Firebomb edges out Duke Of Firenze to be the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st The Thin Blue Line 2nd Primos Comet 3rd Firebomb

CITY WANDERER returned to winning ways over C&D late last month and that form gives the six-year-old a big chance, despite a 2lb rise in the ratings. Will He Dance chased home the selection on that occasion and could do so once again, while Genever Dragon and Uccello are others who merit places on the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st City Wanderer 2nd Will He Dance 3rd Genever Dragon
