Doomsday could go well again after finally getting off the mark at Catterick a fortnight ago off just 2lb lower, but preference is for MOON OVER THE SEA. John Quinn's charge showed much more at Beverley last time in a stronger race than this and has been dropped 1lb for that, so could take some stopping if first-time blinkers eke out some more improvement. Regal World has been getting closer of late and after a string of seconds is another who can get involved.

TAAQAT was a good second over C&D back in May and followed that up with a respectable fifth in handicap company at Newbury last month. She could be the one to side with here on her first run for Archie Watson. Stylish Icon is most feared if fully tuned up for her seasonal debut after a lengthy absence, while Frisky has become slightly frustrating, but is fully capable of winning this with Frederick Larson up for the first time claiming a valuable 5lb.

Carrigillihy is now only 1lb higher than when winning at Pontefract in April and is sure to go well back down in class, but it might be worth taking him on with BIT OF A QUIRKE. Mark Walford's charge has looked in need of the step up to this trip recently and off a mark of 57, he looks well handicapped on some of his best form. Fire Eyes will find this easier than recent assignments and is another to consider back up in trip.

A trappy contest in which EPONINA looks the most likely winner if running to the same level as when fourth at Ascot in a better race than this. She's won twice already this year and can add to that tally here back down to this trip. C&D winner Nikki's Girl has been consistent of late and might not be far away though the handicapper might now have her in his grasp, while Granary Queen is another filly running well who can get involved.

Matty Too narrowly got his head back in front at Ripon last time and a 4lb rise in the weights might not be enough to prevent another bold showing. MISSCALL recorded her first victory at Newmarket last month and followed that up with a good third here last time. Archie Watson's filly still looks to be progressing and can go well once again off the same mark. Soi Dao is another to keep an eye on in an open-looking race.

SEE THE SEA has made up into a very good hurdler for Donald McCain and, off a mark of 65 back on the level, she could take some stopping on her first run after wind surgery. Moonlit Cloud relished the step up to this trip last time when winning at Bath and a 3lb higher mark looks unlikely to prevent her from going close, while Sir Mark Prescott's filly Snap Ambush is worth monitoring very closely in the betting on her handicap debut after a lengthy absence.
