Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
13:35 Lingfield
The George Boughey trained Clear To Land (best priced at 7/4) put in a career best performance last time on her handicap debut in first time cheekpieces and a repeat of that effort should be good enough to win this. The two-year-old could only finish 8th, 6th and 7th in 5f novice/maidens but took a huge step forward on her handicap debut at Beverley following a 64 day break.
Connections fitted Clear To Land with first time cheekpieces for her handicap debut as well as stepping her up in trip to 7f for the first time. She ran well to finish only 1 ¼ lengths behind Princess Naomi last time off an opening mark of 58 and the handicapper has raised her 3lbs for that effort. She gets to run here off her previous mark so she runs here 3lbs “well in” and she should be able to get off the mark at the fifth attempt.
15:20 Lingfield
Our Louise (best priced at 7/2) appeared to lose her way for Liam McAteer in Ireland but ran well on her stable debut for Phil McEntee to finish 2nd last time over this course and distance. She only finished a neck behind the winner Wrought Iron that day off a mark of 53 and the handicapper has raised her 3lbs for that effort.
Our Louise gets to the run here off her previous mark which makes her 3lbs “well in” at the weights and she receives weight from all of her other rivals in this race. Tyler Heard takes off a further 3lbs and she should run well again over this course and distance.
19:00 Naas
The Ger Lyons trained Mauiewowie (best priced 11/8) put in an impressive performance to win on her debut at Naas earlier this month and she looks a worthy favourite in this listed race. The daughter of Night Of Thunder looked extremely professional on her debut beating the more experienced odds on favourite Silmaniya where she stretched clear by 2 ¼ lengths over 5f.
Mauiewowie was an impressive winner of that course and distance maiden and with expected improvement then she should prove hard to beat.
