Given she is bred to keep improving with age and experience I think the best is yet to come with HELLENISTA for Tim Easterby. She beat Oasis Prince despite idling at Ripon at the start of last month and following a good second at Wetherby she showed a good attitude to prevail at Redcar. This trip clearly suits her well and she was coming back again at the line at Chester when beaten just a head last time. She is only 1lb higher here and I think she looks the most likely winner so it surprises me she isn’t favourite. Stormbreaker made a winning handicap debut at Salisbury and looked tapped for toe when third at Lingfield. He steps up markedly in trip now and should have more to come but I’d rather side with one that is proven over it. Oasis Prince ties in with the selection and improved to win at Catterick last time so might end up being a greater danger to the selection.
