Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
13:35 Worcester
The David Pipe trained Django (best priced at 9/4) has won his latest two starts over this course and distance and he should hold strong claims once again. The nine-year-old won over hurdles off a mark of 100 before following up 17 days ago with a victory over fences off a mark of 105. His winning distances have been 4 ½ lengths and 3 ½ lengths so a 7lb rise for his latest victory seems fair and he actually drops from a Class 3 0-125 handicap into a Class 4 0-120 handicap.
Phlip Armson once again claims 5lbs off D’Jango and he should prove hard to beat once again over this course and distance.
14:25 Sandown
This listed race is full of unexposed novice winners but preference instead goes to Tagline (best priced at 4/1) who has proved she is up to this level on her previous two starts. The Rod Millman trained filly outran odds of 80/1 to finish 2nd on her debut at Leicester before winning comfortably at Windsor on her second start.
Tagline finished only 1 ¾ lengths behind Lezoo in the Empress Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket before finishing a close 4th in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes last time. She is worthy of her rating of 92 and she looks the solid each way option in the race.
15:35 Sandown
The Jonny Portman trained Sweet Reward (best priced at 3/1) has shown his best form at Sandown with form figures of 3211592 at the course in his career. The five-year-old was a two-time course and distance winner last season and comes into this race following a close 2nd at the Eclipse meeting earlier this month.
Sweet Reward outran odds of 20/1 to finish 2nd behind Arqoob only beaten ¾ length off a mark of 83 and he is only now rated 2lbs higher. Rob Hornby, who rode him to win twice over this course and distance last season, replaces Rhys Clutterbuck and I think he will prove hard to beat.
