Rogue Missile has to be feared here as she improved to get within just a head of victory at Lingfield last month but I was really impressed with the way TIME STEP won on debut and I think he can make it 2-2 here. This Time Test colt even had time to idle close home when winning at Ffos Las last time and he clearly has a fair bit of ability. He will improve from that and while this won’t be easy carrying a penalty I still think he’ll have what it takes to fend off Rogue Missile. The pair do look to have it between them as Masterclass ran a stinker when last at Kempton. His second at Yarmouth was obviously a much better effort and while he might find this easier back in novice company I think he has enough to prove. On Reflection was green when third on debut and is best of the rest but likely needs more time and experience.

With two wins from her last three starts ORIGINTRAIL clearly comes here at the top of her game. She really picked up well to win at Chester back in May and while she only went down narrowly at Newmarket last time I never really felt happy in that race. The form has been franked though with the winner Al Simmo winning well next time off a mark of 87. Based on that the selection should still have more to come off 85 and I think this looks a good opportunity. Corinthia Knight loves this track having won three times over C&D including this race 12 months ago. She only missed out by a neck at Carlisle last time so off a 1lb higher mark looks the danger. She is a seven-year-old now though and definitely isn’t as good as she used to be. Persuasion is struggling for form but is sliding down the weights so could also have it in him to run well.
