The way FLAMENCO FAN won over C&D on penultimate start was very impressive and given the second Love Trophy Power has won twice since the form has definitely been franked. She made all the running on that occasion and ran on strongly through the line. She failed to back that up on handicap debut at Newbury last month but she was keen through the early stages and just looked to do a bit too much too soon there. She was hampered late but wasn’t given a hard time of things and I’m confident she is much better than that. Returning to this track with Benoit De La Sayette booked claiming a handy 5lb off her back I think we’ll see a much better effort. This is still just her sixth start so she is entitled to keep improving for a while yet. Neptunian is also unexposed and wasn’t disgraced despite finishing last in a good race at Newmarket last month so looks the danger.
