Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action at Chelmsford.
13:00 Chelmsford City
The Richard Hughes stable are in good form currently with a 29% strike rate in the previous two weeks and I think One More Olly (best priced at 5/4) can get back on track in this race. The Amo Racing owned filly made a winning debut over this course and distance in May when putting in an impressive performance to defeat the 4/9 favourite Beautiful Aisling with the pair pulling six lengths clear of the third.
Connections pitched One More Olly into the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot on her next start where she underperformed but this represents a huge drop in class. She makes her handicap debut off a mark of 76 and I expect her to make it 2/2 over this course and distance with a routine victory here.

The James Fanshawe trained Bernadine (best priced at 10/1) faces some well bred newcomers in this race but I feel her experience could mean she could outrun her odds. The daughter of Kodi Bear finished 7th behind Lezoo on her debut at Bath before stepping forward from that effort to finish 4th at Beverley on her next start.
The two at the top of the market Appointed One (14) and Miyagi (11) are both drawn extremely wide in this 6f contest and that could mean they are further back than they hoped early on in the race. Bernadine has shown pace over 5f on her previous two starts so I expect Benoit De La Sayette to make plenty of use of her from Stall 3 and she should run well with up to four places available.

Dubai Station (best priced at 4/1) is 2/2 in his career on the AW and he should be well suited by the return to this track. The Robert Cowell trained five-year-old ended last season with four 2nd placed efforts in conditions races before finishing only 2 ½ lengths behind Blue De Vega at Newbury on his reappearance. The gelding won over this course and distance on his penultimate start when beating Popmaster by ½ length off a mark of 95 and that rival went on to finish 2nd in the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot.
Dubai Station also ran in that race at Ascot but this return to the AW will suit him well (2/2 in comparison to 1/18) and he races here off only a 3lb higher mark than his course and distance success. James Doyle should be able to get a good position from Stall 3 and I expect him to prove hard to beat.
