Flamenco Fan is another who disappointed last time out and needs to bounce back, but prior to that he won over C&D so could go well, while Spring Is Sprung shouldn't be discounted either in what looks a fascinating contest.

The John Gosdena and Thady-trained SPECIAL ENVOY looks the most interesting here, having not been out the first two in each of his three runs, including a win on soft ground here last month. His opening mark is no gift, but he looks capable of winning this on his handicap debut today. A 1lb rise in the weights shouldn't be enough to prevent another bold showing from Pub Crawl after a good second at Newmarket 10 days ago, while Pistoletto is another with a chance on some of his best form.

He's now only 1lb above his last winning mark so is handicapped to go close here. Western Writer has been running well of late and he should go well again after a close second at Yarmouth last time, even taking into account his 3lb rise. Kaasirr appeals most of the rest after getting off the mark at Bath last time out.

BAEZ ran a cracker last time when a close second at Chepstow and if in the same form today, he looks to have a solid chance in an open race here with Benoit De La Sayette taking off a valuable 5lb. Rita Rana is fancied to chase the selection home after winning at Epsom earlier this month, while Nonsuch Lad has been running well recently and looks the most likely of the rest to fill the frame.
