The way ZARGA finished on debut at Kempton was hugely eye-catching and likely targeted for this meeting since I think this Camelot filly could have a massive chance. She is obviously bred to be pretty useful and I’m expecting her to know a lot more now. She was green as you’d expect on debut but that experience wouldn’t have been lost on her and if this gets run at a good clip she should be coming home best under Richard Kingscote. Luckin Brew was beaten just half a length on debut at Newmarket and looks the obvious danger off the back of that. Like the selection she looked as though she’d improve for the experience and closed up well at the finish. She’s Hot ran a big race on debut and wasn’t disgraced in the Albany so with plenty of stamina in her pedigree I don’t expect her to be too far away either.

I was really impressed with HEAT AND DUST at Brighton so despite a big drift in the market I was keen to side with her at Catterick last time and she didn’t disappoint. She was held up off the pace but made up good ground and was always doing enough at the finish. The second Jamih had won well previously and the third Haven Lady was one of the form horses so it looks solid. She goes up in grade now and has a 5lb penalty to defy but she looks to have turned a corner now and I think there is more to come yet. Running against a better calibre of horse might actually help her as they should go a truer gallop so I can see her travelling better into it before looking to swoop late. Both Hayedo and Berrahri should go at it early and this will set up nicely for her. Scampi looks the danger despite struggling a bit at Ascot last time.
