She might get an easy lead in this field and, if that is the case, she may have enough left in hand to fend off the closers.

MASHAAER cannot be ignored after her five-length fifth in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot and she should go well back in novice company where she may be able to put her experience to good use. Laurel is an interesting newcomer as a daughter of Kingman and she seems worth a market check for signs of stable confidence, while Midnight Moll did nothing wrong when winning here over shorter.

Jane Chapple-Hyam won this race last year and is back for more with the hat-trick seeking NIZAAKA, who has won over C&D the last twice. She does have an added 4lb from the handicapper but we may not have seen the best of her just yet. Micks Dream also scored easily over C&D last time but he has an added 7lb which makes his life that bit more difficult, while Harold Shand intrigues in a first-time visor.

Devil's Angel won in game fashion over the minimum distance at Sandown last time but a 3lb higher mark and the return to this trip sways the vote in favour of CONCIERGE. Beaten just a length into third over this C&D last month, Michael Attwater's gelding was not too far away off 1lb higher at Epsom last time but could be better back at this track. Bossipop could be well suited to third venue after going down fighting after attempting to make all at York last time.
