There was plenty of talk about CLASSIC before his debut at Newbury 15 days ago and he shaped with lots of promise that day, coming from the rear to finish an eye-catching fourth. The Dubawi colt should have learnt plenty from that experience and he could prove tough to beat here. Loyal Touch was only beaten three-parts of a length on his debut at Salisbury last month and is likely to be in the shake-up again, while The Foxes needs to settle better than he did at Royal Ascot but can't be ruled out.
Prediction : 1st Classic 2nd Loyal Touch 3rd The Foxes

LETHAL LEVI is tough to oppose here. A winner off a mark of 85 at the beginning of this month, Karl Burke's gelding won well off 91 last week and has a mark of 100 for future engagements. Carrying just a 6lb penalty for his first win due to the conditions of this race, he is 9lb well-in on official figures and could take all the beating in this. Nelson Gay is interesting if improving for the step up to this trip, likewise Stone Of Destiny, while Mokaatil could have a say.
Prediction : 1st Lethal Levi 2nd Nelson Gay 3rd Mokaatil

The Johnston stable has been responsible for the winner of this on four occasions since 2015 and can come out on top again courtesy of SOAPY STEVENS, who stopped Red Flyer springing a massive shock at Newmarket's July Festival, with Sam Cooke hot on their heels in fourth. Fellow hat-trick seeker Bague D'or looks a stayer going places, while Cemhaan failed in his bid for a three-timer at Royal Ascot but still emerged with credit. Valley Forge and Trawlerman appeal too.
Prediction : 1st Soapy Stevens 2nd Bague Dor 3rd Sam Cooke

SEA LA ROSA looks ready for this trip now and on the balance of her form, she looks the one to beat with Tom Marquand back in the saddle today. Emily Dickinson appears her biggest threat after a respectable showing when fourth in the Irish Oaks a fortnight ago. Prior to that she was just denied over this trip in Group 3 company at Leopardstown and looks most likely to chase selection home. Glenartney looks to be still improving and is most fancied of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Sea La Rosa 2nd Emily Dickinson 3rd Glenartney

A typically competitive renewal with a mixture of progressive handicappers coming up against Group-class performers. The vote, however, goes to SAINT LAWRENCE, who has run with credit in Group company, including when sixth in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot, and the drop into a handicap for the first time may yield some improvement. Inver Park arrives in search of a four-timer having won at the Royal meeting last time, while others for the shortlist include First Folio, Chil Chil and Whenthedealinsdone.
Prediction : 1st Saint Lawrence 2nd Inver Park 3rd First Folio

In a wide-open contest the marginal preference is for POSITIVE IMPACT, who was only beaten a short head into second on his handicap debut at Newmarket last time. That appears to be strong form and his 5lb rise in the ratings is negated by his rider's valuable claim. Spirit Of Nguru and Zero Carbon are closely matched based on their meeting at Haydock a few weeks ago and both could go well today. Others to consider are Koy Koy and Laasudood.
Prediction : 1st Positive Impact 2nd Spirit Of Nguru 3rd Zero Carbon

16:30 Goodwood

FOREST FALCON could quite easily bookend the meeting given Harry Davies' 5lb claim in the saddle negates a 5lb penalty he carries for winning the opening handicap here on Tuesday under Frankie Dettori. Kitsune Power is a big danger getting a weight-for-age allowance, though, as Roger Varian's charge won well at Nottingham two starts ago and then performed admirably in defeat in the Britannia at Royal Ascot. Bolthole can be forgiven a lacklustre effort in the aforementioned Ascot handicap last month and is another to take seriously.
Prediction : 1st Forest Falcon 2nd Kitsune Power 3rd Bolthole
