The expensive daughter of Frankel made a successful start to her handicap career at Lingfield, before losing little in defeat at Newbury, and she can enhance Roger Varian's fine course record. Trojan Horse has contested some warm handicaps and may have slipped to an attractive figure.

DRAGON SYMBOL has been, by and large, disappointing since joining Roger Varian, considering he was first past the post in the 2021 Commonwealth Cup and went close in several other Group 1s. He beat only one home in the Platinum Jubilee but gave Raasel a race at Haydock prior to that, so the talent is still there. Last Crusader carries a penalty for his Listed victory at York in May, but he had Boonie back in fourth there so looks the chief threat.

He should run his race again, but faces an unknown quantity in the shape of SMART CONTENDER, who contested events won by high-class colts on his first couple of outings and then may not have stayed 1m2f at Windsor. The Crisfords' charge could be well treated off 73. Under Fox doesn't seem to know how to run a bad race and is expected to be in the thick of the action once more.

Clan Jock won with a fair bit more in hand over 1m5f here latest than the neck margin of success would suggest and a 3lb rise for that could prove lenient, while his stablemate Cosa Sara has gone close over 10 furlongs and a mile in recent starts but could make an impact over this trip. Bouncing Bobby ran well for third at Musselburgh but was doing all his best work late on over 1m4f there, so preference is for GRANITE CITY DOC. His tendency to race freely has been his undoing in the past, but he was not beaten far over C&D latest and is 1lb lower in this.

Jim Goldie's filly beat her stablemate fairly comfortably over 1m3f here last time and the second has already won since, so the form looks strong enough already. The daughter of Frankel can defy a 5lb rise and confirm form with Caballero, who was third in that recent race. Chinese Spirit isn't always the most consistent but the grey did land a classified stakes over C&D three starts ago.
