Eternal Class looks most interesting of the newcomers for the in-form Karl Burke yard.

HILTS makes most appeal here after a good second at Haydock last month and off just a 1lb higher mark, he can return to winning ways. Amalfi Bay wasn't seen to best effect in a small-field event at Chepstow in May and looks the biggest danger after a break, while the lightly-raced Matched should be monitored in the market on his handicap debut after failing to make the frame in any of his three starts to date.

MILITIA made it two wins from his last three starts when successful at Musselburgh last month and a 1lb rise might not be enough to prevent another bold showing from Paul Midgley's runner. Admirality has been running well in some competitive events of late and is now 4lb below his last winning mark, while Good Luck Fox is starting to look well handicapped on some of his best efforts and is another who can't be discounted.

A strong-looking renewal of this contest with plenty of in-form rivals taking each other on here. SUBSTANTIAL looks sure to enjoy this test and with Jamie Spencer up for the first time, he makes most appeal following his victory at Haydock last month. Makeen rarely runs a bad race and could be on the premises again after a good third at Carlisle last time, while C&D winner Empirestateofmind has some form that would give him a chance in this too.

LATTAM made the best possible start to his career when storming home at Haydock, denying Flyawaydream by half a length. The son of Lope De Vega was perhaps value for more than the official margin and can confirm his superiority on 7lb worse terms. Flyawaydream has since found another William Haggas inmate just too strong at Lingfield and remains a potent threat. The form of All Are Mine's Newcastle fourth is good, and 500,000gns Kingman colt Dukeman is another to consider.

SPANGLED MAC didn't taste competitive action until towards the end of May but he is on a steep upward curve, winning five of his seven starts, including his last four. He is worth sticking with until beaten but faces his acid test in this and there is no shortage of dangers, with Open Mind and Danzan both shaping like imminent winners of late. Il Bandito found the Bunbury Cup too hot to handle, but was in fine fettle prior to it.

Selfish Brian did not appear to stay 1m2f on his most recent outing and he could bounce back to form over this more suitable trip, while On The River and Audit are others who merit places on the shortlist.

HOOTS TOOTS put in a career best when finishing fifth in a novice event over an extended 7f at Chester last month. That form suggests he could play a leading role on his handicap debut off what appears to be a workable mark. The consistent Wheal Kitty should not be underestimated in a race of this nature, while similar comments apply to Coligone Kate and May Punch.
