UK Horse Racing Tips: Market Rasen

CAPTAIN SQUARE finished behind Rolypolymoly when they met at Stratford earlier this month and, although Rolypolymoly has won since, Captain Square now gets a handy pull in the weights with that rival and is fancied to reverse the form. Anger Management showed very little on the Flat for this yard, so Via Serica is most fancied of the hurdling newcomers as he at least went close on a couple of occasions on the level.

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER ran a strange race last time, but did well to finish third on that occasion and, with more improvement to come, he is fancied to get off the mark here in what looks a much weaker race. If the market speaks in favour of We'll Go Again, then he would be feared most on his first run for this yard after 214 days off the track. Codey Jones looks open to improvement and could make the frame too.

Pencreek looks certain to be a warm order here after winning with minimum effort at Stratford on Thursday, but the combination of a penalty, a stronger race and an inexperienced rider make him opposable. Preference is for David Pipe's runner DINDIN, who was a good second at Newton Abbot on Monday and, if in the same form, he looks capable of getting his first victory since arriving here from France. Raecius Felix is another to be respected.

Railway Muice has conditions in his favour having won twice here on good ground, but he does need a career best off this mark and a chance is taken on KINONDO KWETU. This will be his first run over fences under Rules, but he did win a point-to-point and both stable and jockey remain in good form. He could have more to come stepped up in trip, while Zoffalee might hit a place on his better form.

Belles Benefit was left with a bit too much to do before coming home second at Cartmel, but she could go well if ridden nearer to the early pace. MAC SUIBHNE may have her measure after a win and a fourth this season, his only starts over hurdles, and if he stays this trip he should have more to offer. Landen Calling isn't out of this either following a close-up third at Uttoxeter.

Fergal O'Brien has his horses is great nick and, if INCE can improve again after making all over shorter to win at Worcester, he may prove difficult to catch off 4lb higher. Major Snugfit appreciates the better ground with wins at Hexham, Southwell and Sedgefield and he could go well off this mark, though Good Bye may be the bigger danger after his neck second at Uttoxeter, but only if the cheekpieces sharpen him up.

FOX'S SOCKS is fancied as Alex Hales' gelding has been lightly raced since a runaway win at Uttoxeter last summer and confirmed himself on the upgrade when only narrowly edged out in a higher grade at Hexham last time. Casamari Abbey has shown up well over fences the last twice and commands respect off his lower hurdles rating, while Tarseem is also noted.

Probably not the strongest of bumpers and it could pay to take a chance on debutant SEA POEM given the fact that she fetched 27,000 guineas as a three-year-old and hails from a yard with a fine bumper strike-rate, including at this course. Tomona has run two fair races in defeat and should again make her presence felt along with Emily Wade, whose opening effort behind a subsequent hurdles winner at Hexham wasn't devoid of promise.
