GYTO's Tuesday notebook double pays 9/1.

The money has been relentless for Gordon Elliott’s COME ON DU BERLAIS this morning and it’s easy to see why. She was only gathered in near the finish on debut in a bumper at Ayr and quickly improved on that to win readily at Kelso. She bumped into another nice filly in Carrigeen Kampala in what looked a decent bumper at Newton Abbot and with further improvement to come now tackling hurdles this looks a good opportunity. Henry de Bromhead saddles Rioga Choice but she didn’t show much when beaten a long way at Bellewstown last month and will need to improve plenty to challenge here. I think the fact she is second favourite says a lot about the lack of quality on show. Wild Dollar is likely to have come on plenty for that debut run and might fare best of the rest but probably needs more time to be seen to best effect.

With three wins from just five starts PROP FORWARD remains a nice prospect for Clive Cox. We haven’t seen him since winning impressively at Southwell back in January. He did that stylishly coming between horses to quicken clear at the finish. He is clearly very talented but might not have been the easiest to train. The handicapper has reacted raising him 11lb from that last win but he could still prove a cut above these. He’ll want a good gallop to run down so hopefully, Ayr Harbour puts good pace to the race. Nationwide looked progressive before fluffing his lines at York last time so if he bounces back he could be the main threat. He has won at this track as well. Strong Power landed a hat-trick earlier in the year and has been largely consistent in defeat since again going close at Chelmsford last time. Could also have a say in here but likely needs more to stop the selection going in.
