She switched to Gavin Cromwell and won a mares' bumper at Limerick in April by four lengths. She was then far from disgraced when unplaced in a hot Grade 3 mares' bumper at Punchestown. On her latest start, she went down by three parts of a length in a Down Royal bumper. Sheishybrid kept on for third in a big field on hurdle debut at this track which brings her into contention. Shona Mea won three times on the Flat and showed more on her third start in this sphere when runner-up at Kilbeggan. Silver Breeze and Still Ciel represent powerful stables and can have a say.

DIXIE FLYER can make her presence felt off a mark of 112 with cheekpieces applied for the first time. She was beaten a fair way into third in a novice hurdle at Wexford, however, the horses in front of her have both delivered since. She is entitled to improve for her first run in almost six months. The Names Jock ran well in a better grade of handicap at Killarney when chasing home the favourite. He is on a decent mark with John Gleeson taking 7lb off his back. Golf Marin is likely to be very popular after a close fourth in a big field handicap hurdle at Galway. That followed a close third in Tipperary. He was favourite in both of those races. Connections will see this as a good opportunity to get him off the mark. Pat Downey spoke highly about Little Big Rocky after he landed a Killarney handicap hurdle. He is up a stone in the weights, but is far from exposed.

Wide-margin bumper-winner BALLYBOUGH NATIVE sets a good standard after staying on well to get to within a length and a quarter of a Punchestown maiden hurdle winner at the end of May. Female Approach has two victories on the Flat to her name. She has been placed once in her three races over flights, but the suspicion is there is more to come from her particularly in this field. Dorans Boy posted his best effort to date when finishing third over further at Limerick, so should be eyeing another cheque. Support for Viceregent would be noteworthy. Patricks Hill ran well when placed in two maiden hurdles last year. He reverts back to flights after a couple of unplaced runs in bumpers in May.

LUCY VAN PELT popped up at 25/1 in Punchestown and won't be anywhere near that price to follow up. The 80-95 handicap hurdle that she took by a length and a quarter has thrown up several winners, so she has a shot of defying a 6lb rise. Search For A Myth disappointed over further in Killarney. Her best result (runner-up at Clonmel) came over a similar trip to this one, so it isn't hard to see her being heavily involved. Natural Look has been runner-up in a point-to-point. She made up a fair amount of ground to come in third in a Tramore handicap hurdle over the minimum trip and looks ready for this step up in trip. Battle Away returned from almost three years off to win over flights at Killarney in mid-July. That was an incredible achievement. She clearly tired at the end of that race and should be fitter for it. The fear is the 'bounce factor' after so long off.

A very tricky race. Perhaps this will be the day that TEMPTATIONINMILAN gets off the mark. He has been well involved in his last four starts and was placed in three of them. Those races came over 2m, 2m4f and 3m and this trip might work the oracle. Furthermore, Philip Byrnes claims 7lb which puts him on an appealing mark. Yulong Voice drops back in trip after winning over 2m4f at Limerick, but looks dangerous off 5lb higher. Sargent Lightfoot won by a healthy three and a quarter lengths in Kilbeggan. If he is in the same humour, he can go well. Matthew Smith runs three and his Fulysse was a winner when last seen in a qualified riders' handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse in November. It has clearly been hard to get her to the track, but she has ability. The Big Chap and Wild Caprice are others with chances. Toms Courage has been placed three times at this track, but his form is over shorter trips.

STRATUM is some horse for connections with earnings of over €500,000. He can bank another first prize in this staying test. On his last appearance, he got up close home to take the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot in June. It was in October that he last ran over hurdles and he posted a six-length success over 2m7f. He looks the one to beat in this small field. Ronald Pump carries a lofty rating of 154 over hurdles. He has been steeplechasing since March and it was only last Wednesday that he came in seventh in the Galway Plate. He is more than decent in both disciplines and should enjoy this lesser company having been extensively campaigned in Grade 1 company over flights. The question is whether last week's exertions have taken their toll. The Bosses Oscar got back to winning ways in Limerick beating stablemate Dallas Des Pictons. Streets Of Doyen isn't out of it on his return to hurdling.

Newcomer BEASLEY STREET is a half-brother to a six-time winner who was successful on her debut in a bumper. He looks a likely sort for Willie and Patrick Mullins. Lake Winnipesaukee is an interesting contender. He ran out when clear in a Leopardstown bumper in March last year. He was then tried in the Grade 1 champion bumper at Punchestown the following month, but weakened off the front to come home last. He has an engine and has switched to Gavin Cromwell. The market should be informative. Moresby Buoy has been placed in both bumpers he has run in albeit beaten nine lengths at Tramore and 26 lengths in Killarney. The horse that beat him in Tramore followed up in a Bellewstown maiden hurdle, so there was merit in that performance. Derek O'Connor is a good booking. Anthony McCann has had two bumper winners this season from a limited number of runners, so Cyndi's Girl is worth a market check on debut. Zingara Lass has place prospects.
