There is plenty of rain expected in Roscommon and that will aid HOMME D'UN SOIR. He won his bumper by a wide margin on soft to heavy ground at Gowran Park back in January 2020. Since then, he has landed hurdle races at Down Royal and Perth. He has been mixing in good company over flights this year, with a best finish of a close third at Fairyhouse. This is his chasing debut and he will be well schooled coming from the Crawford stable. The Tack Room is another chasing debutant after being placed in two of his six hurdle races. He is in good hands and a big run wouldn't be surprising. Ena Baie has plenty of experience over hurdles and has a shot on her first crack at the bigger obstacles. Custers Mistake, in first-time blinkers, and Influential Lady have a chance of picking up prize money.
Prediction : 1st Homme DUn Soir 2nd The Tack Room 3rd Ena Baie

MISS US O appeals off a mark of 80. She has been performing very creditably in recent times over hurdles, with runner-up berths banked in Kilbeggan and Roscommon in addition to a decisive victory at Kilbeggan in June. As a former point-to-point winner, there should be more to come from her in this discipline. Shane Fitzgerald takes 3lb off her back. Danny Mullins galvanised Chief Seattle to win over hurdles at Ballinrobe last month. He's back on board and this Casamento gelding could make an impact in this field. Swiss Brid has come in second in a couple of chases, including on her last appearance in Kilbeggan, however, she wouldn't welcome too much rain. Important Message has been placed in his last two handicap hurdles. His previous four efforts over fences haven't been inspiring, but he could do better now.
Prediction : 1st Miss Us O 2nd Chief Seattle 3rd Swiss Brid

KRUJERS GIRL made a winning start to life with Thomas Coyle when awarded a Kilbeggan handicap chase in the stewards' room. That was a good performance as she had been off for just over a year. It was in a higher grade than this one, so a 4lb rise isn't insurmountable. She has plenty of form in Britain over this sort of trip, including a soft-ground victory at Fakenham. Top-weight Follow The Crowd could get compensation for a Wexford mishap. He held a narrow advantage, but crashed out at the final fence in the same grade over a further trip. On his penultimate outing in Downpatrick, he was pipped by a neck. Shantou Sisu won't mind any rain and is more than capable of getting involved. Fly De Megaudais was dynamite in Tipperary when winning as he pleased by 17 lengths. All of his successes have been over shorter trips than this, though.
Prediction : 1st Krujers Girl 2nd Follow The Crowd 3rd Shantou Sisu

MANISANDA looks the most solid option in a relatively competitive race. The Lorna Fowler trained mare has already been placed twice over flights and boasts the highest official rating of those that have received a mark. Her latest effort, when a close third at Ballinrobe in May, gives her a live chance in this modest company. Benny The Duke didn't jump well at Killarney on his reappearance but had two very good runs in maiden hurdles last year. If anywhere near the form, he showed in those aforementioned races he will be a serious contender. Ray Cody has his string in great form and was among the winners at Galway over the weekend. Trendy Lady was just denied at Downpatrick last time, having also occupied the runner-up position on her penultimate start. She is getting closer to the breakthrough.
Prediction : 1st Manisanda 2nd Benny The Duke 3rd Trendy Lady

RIOGA CHOICE is worth another chance here, despite having disappointed on her reappearance at Bellewstown. The daughter of Flemensfirth had previously been placed in two relatively decent maidens and may just have needed the run at the County Meath venue. Slightly easier ground should also be more favourable to the De Bromhead trained mare. High City Roller won his bumper at Limerick in May but also ran below par last time. With just the three runs under his belt, he remains unexposed and open to improvement. Come On Du Berlais has yet to run in this country despite being trained by Gordon Elliott. She has won once and been second twice from just three bumper starts in Britain. Morning Logic is another to consider, having finished fourth at Punchestown when last seen on the racecourse.
Prediction : 1st Rioga Choice 2nd High City Roller 3rd Come On Du Berlais

LUCAILEM holds strong claims for the in-form Matthew Smith yard. A lightly raced gelding, he showed notable improvement on his reappearance at Tipperary when second behind a subsequent winner. Following a solid run in third over that same course and distance a fortnight later, the son of Mahler has been absent since. Having already shown that he runs well fresh, he looks the most likely winner. Lily Light Foot looks the chief danger, after getting off the mark at Kilbeggan last time. The Harty trained mare is proven over the trip, so shouldn't have any stamina issues here. A Different World was back in fourth in that Kilbeggan race but is better off at the weights now. He is capable of a big run in the colours of JP McManus. Lessofdnegativity and Highland Sting also enter calculations on their best form.
Prediction : 1st Lucailem 2nd Lily Light Foot 3rd A Different World

CASH THE CHEQUE can go one better than her recent Cork second, in doing so, providing trainer Anthony McCann with another bumper winner. Perhaps better known for his exploits on the flat until very recently, the Monaghan trainer has already won two bumpers this season. Following an encouraging fifth at Down Royal in June, Cash The Cheque showed definite improvement when going close at Mallow last month. Idol is an obvious threat coming from the Willie Mullins stable. An unraced daughter of Jukebox Jury, she is difficult to weigh up but could be anything. Resilient Front showed distinct promise first time out at Tipperary in June and represents leading connections. She too, must hold a serious chance, in what could be an informative race.
Prediction : 1st Cash The Cheque 2nd Idol 3rd Resilient Front
