NIKHI was ridden form off the pace on her first try at two miles before getting up late for a head success and now connections know she stays, she can be ridden more positively if they want to. An added 2lb may not stop her following up and she might be able to pounce late to catch stable companion Kincade, who looks the likeliest to tow them along from the off. A return to the winner's enclosure looks very much on the cards for GLOBAL SPIRIT, who was just denied by a nose at Ripon on his latest outing over 1m. He is now rated 1lb lower than his last winning mark, coincidentally over this C&D, and is entitled to improve from his latest showing. Jackhammer failed to extend his winning streak at Carlisle last month but can be feared ahead of Jewel Maker, who completes the shortlist.

The three-year-old built on his handicap debut when finishing fourth at Newmarket last time out and a 1lb lower mark for that run could aid his cause.
