Given BRAZEN BOLT won 3 times last year he might not be done this campaign despite being kept busy in recent weeks. That win at Ayr last month was a career best running on well at the finish and I think he can confirm that form over Merricourt here. He has been beaten under a penalty at York since but he was given a lot to do and did all his best work late. This could pan out perfectly for him and he is a confident play to salute the judge once more. Abduction won at Catterick last time but a 4lb rise will ask a few more questions and I think this looks more competitive despite it being the same grade. He is probably the danger on that but I do think Merricourt will go well too off the same mark that saw him run second to the selection last time. Of the rest Ramon Di Loria won over C&D last month and went down fighting at Hamilton so shouldn’t be entirely dismissed either.
