The winner has followed up in a Curragh handicap and is rated in the mid 80s. Ultramarine has an inflated rating chiefly by virtue of his fourth in the Group 1 National Stakes and has failed to score at cramped odds since in maidens. He travels well but finds little at the business end and it will be interesting to how he fares at this trip. Karakoul, narrowly denied by Piz Badile in a Killarney mile maiden last year, also drops right down in distance.

EROSANDPSYCHE had Moss Tucker close up in third when scoring at Cork a fortnight ago and gets the vote to confirm those places on 3lb better terms. The selection had previously run well in the valuable Rockingham Handicap at the Curragh and won twice over this C&D when trained by Kieran Cotter last year. Moss Tucker also enjoys this venue having gained three of his four career wins here including over C&D in June and any further rain wouldn't harm his chance. Prisoner's Dilemma has won twice over six this year but now tries the minimum trip for the first time, while Beautiful Sunshine won twice for George Boughey last season and has been consistent this term both in handicaps and Listed races.

SMILE OF LOVE kept really good company and showed plenty of promise in three maiden outings last year notably when third to Homeless Songs at Leopardstown. It's obviously of concern that the Ger Lyons-trained daughter of Tamayuz has been absent for 12 months and hopefully the market will speak in her favour. Spring Feeling and Solar Breeze were only separated by half-a-length when filling the places in a mile Curragh maiden last month. Ken Condon's charge was only having her second outing and should have the more scope for improvement. Any Dream Will Do didn't have any luck in running when just failing to peg back Shanghai Dragon on her handicap debut at Gowran and is another for the shortlist.

The form of two Group 3 races, the Tyros Stakes and the Silver Flash Stakes, run on the same card at Leopardstown last month are put to the test with HELLSING getting a tentative vote. The son of Dandy Man won a Curragh maiden on debut and kept on well when second to Proud And Regal in the Tyros with Chesham runner-up Pearling Path soundly beaten. The form received a timely boost at Naas on Monday when Voce Del Palio landed the valuable Ballyhane Stakes. The Silver Flash was run in a faster time and La Dolce Vita stepped up on the form of her C&D maiden win when making most of the running until giving best in the closing stages behind Never Ending Story. Papilio beat Greenland at Killarney last month and should confirm the places on these terms.

MOE SEDWAY hails from a yard in good recent form and can gain reward for a series of solid placed efforts this season. The Noel Meade-trained gelding went close twice over a mile at Gowran Park and should be suited by this drop back in trip after finding no extra in the closing stages over an extended nine again at Gowran last time. Rick Dalton has a similar profile to the selection having been placed on all bar one of his six starts and is an obvious threat. He's steadily progressing with each run and again set the pace when switched to a handicap at Naas last time beating all bar Big Baby Bull. Elephant John made a promising debut at Fairyhouse and perhaps turning out again quickly or the drop back to six furlongs didn't suit last time.

MANWAL showed promise on a number of occasions last year and his rating has gradually dropped from 80 down to 72 as connections now try a handicap for the first time. That mark looks a competitive one on the back of a decent run over a similar trip at Ballinrobe last time. Matthew Smith's yard has enjoyed a decent run over the past month and Snag It should give a good account. He won three times over this trip in Germany and gave current connections encouragement for the first time when fifth to stablemate La Hacienda (won again at Galway last week) at Leopardstown. Rock On Seamie won twice over C&D earlier in his career but has been solely campaigned over hurdles (including a win at Navan) since scoring over 1m5f at Ballinrobe last summer. True Artist can be troublesome at the start but has plenty of ability while Coins Cross is another to consider.

DERRY LAD has progressed nicely this year winning over an extended 1m2f at Sligo and probably put up his best effort last time when staying on well into third behind Extensio in the Ladies Derby at the Curragh. Annalise Cullen's 7lb claim leaves him on a nice racing weight. There isn't much to choose between Derry Lad and Whatcouldhavebeen on previous running at Ballinrobe and the latter has since won over C&D plus ran well again at the Galway Festival last week. Five Zeros was just three lengths behind the selection in the Ladies Derby and has since won at Down Royal. Jody Townend is a huge asset on the consistent Storm Steps, while Hi Stranger, Lord Erskine, El Tren and Sequoiaspirit are others to consider in a competitive event.
