A running-on third at Windsor last week, he looks a player now and could have the edge over Dark Mystery, who is expected to be far happier dropping back in distance.

Charlie Appleby's charge finished seventh on his latest outing at Royal Ascot in June, but he has every chance of building on that effort. Kenzai Warrior is another who merits consideration.

Croupier, who was progressive as a juvenile last season, heads the list of dangers from Tuscan, who can't be ruled out dropping in grade.
