VADO FORTE has a mark of 124 over hurdles and arrives in winning form after a victory in a valuable handicap chase at Galway. On his last run in this discipline, he competed in 45,000-euro handicap hurdle at Bellewstown, so this a drop in class he should really avail of albeit he would prefer some juice in the ground. Wonder Laish is the potential fly in the ointment. He hasn't been out since finishing fifth of six off a mark of 138 in a Grade 3 hurdle at Tipperary in October. This is a significant drop in class, however, he hasn't won off a break before. The market should be informative. Ardamir put in an improved effort when third at Ballinrobe. Politicise hasn't troubled the judge in better company, but should find these waters calmer.
Prediction : 1st Vado Forte 2nd Wonder Laish 3rd Ardamir

STARLIGHT ROSE could be worth a bet on hurdling debut. She switched to Thomas Dowling and stayed on strongly to win over an extended 1m4f at Down Royal last month, Afterwards, Dowling commented that anything she did on the Flat would be a bonus to what she will do over a hurdle. Figaruso ran a stormer in second at 33/1 in Killarney. He pecked at the last which did him no favours as he went down by a length and a half. He was some 18 lengths clear of the third home, Mr Globalist, who comes back for more. Gordon Elliott takes the wraps off Calico who is related to a double-hurdle winner and will certainly be well schooled. Charlie Luciano unseated on his sole start over hurdles but, since then, he has finished second in a staying Flat handicap. He can do better. Frankel gelding Surac should be checked for market strength ahead of his first crack at flights.
Prediction : 1st Starlight Rose 2nd Figaruso 3rd Calico

NOS NA GAOITHE has been a beaten favourite in her two hurdle races, but could set the record straight here. This former bumper winner was beaten a head into second at Cork when just failing to get up. A reproduction of that effort would see her hard to beat. Evergreen And Red holds a rating of 118 after being runner-up in three of his five hurdle races. He is a contender. Sir Prince Edmond is an interesting newcomer as a half brother to Grade 2 winning hurdler Jason The Militant. He represents Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore, and could be heavily involved. L'un Deux Trois has been in good form on the Flat with a victory at Limerick and a close second in Ballinrobe. He hasn't been placed in five previous attempts at hurdling, but the majority of those were on slower ground and he could be a different proposition on this better ground.
Prediction : 1st Nos Na Gaoithe 2nd Evergreen And Red 3rd Sir Prince Edmond

LISTENTILLITELLYEA has been gradually improving this summer and can gain a first win despite the burden of 12 stone. He turned around form with his Tipperary conqueror Delightfantastic when beaten by the narrowest of margins in a 20-runner handicap at Galway. Tom Gibney's charge showed a good attitude under pressure on that occasion which will stand him in good stead. Peace Party, who has missed a couple recent engagements, was twice runner-up at this venue when last seen in May and did win at Gowran after a similar break last year. Virtual Hug won a three-year-old maiden hurdle at Gowran in the autumn and made a pleasing return to action when fourth on the Flat at the same venue. He merits respect along with Makfils who has been placed on his first two starts after a winter break.
Prediction : 1st Listentillitellyea 2nd Peace Party 3rd Makfils

Runner-up in a couple of bumpers in the autumn, SHE IS ELECTRIC ran a blinder at odds of 66/1 to be fourth in a novice event at the Galway festival and appears to be the one to beat if she can run close to that. The winner at Galway was completing a hat-trick over hurdles and the odds-on runner-up is rated 135. Norman Lee's charge was only beaten 14 lengths which was a great effort on her first try at this discipline. Vinnie Is Busy has loads of experience and has been placed in a couple of maidens. He was a good second in a beginners' chase at Limerick last time and has the rating to go close. He won a bumper under this rider. Jumping Susie jumped markedly left when second on hurdles bow at Kilbeggan and perhaps Pale Blue Dot, placed in a couple of staying handicaps in the spring, may have a better chance of being in the money.
Prediction : 1st She Is Electric 2nd Vinnie Is Busy 3rd Pale Blue Dot

ROBINDEVIDASTAR won over 2m5f at Punchestown in November and was an eyecatcher at Kilbeggan last month. Having raced towards rear, he stayed on well to be sixth in a 3m contest and should come on a bit for that first run in nearly three months. James O'Sullivan's claim leaves him on a nice racing weight. Florey Spud's second to a well-handicapped winner at Wexford on Friday was very much a career best and he's turned out again quickly before his new mark kicks in. He steps up in trip by a couple of furlongs. The Holmeister is on a hat-trick after winning here and at Limerick in the space of three days last month. His very capable rider can utilise his claim here which wasn't the case in an amateur riders' contest last time. Final Orders has a very poor strike-rate but was second in this last year and has been running well on the Flat of late.
Prediction : 1st Robindevidastar 2nd Florey Spud 3rd The Holmeister

It took quite a while for NOBLE BIRTH to get his head in front but an easy odds-on success at Perth would have boosted his confidence and he rallied well to be third in a competitive 2m6f handicap at Galway last month. The way he stayed on up the hill at Ballybrit suggests that this test of stamina could be what he needs. Ballyadam Destiny, a winner at Thurles in the spring, also gave a good account of himself at Galway when fourth over 3m. He just gave best after the final flight on that occasion but stays well and this trip will be within his compass. Cork maiden winner Ramondo Dnzeo was well behind Ballyadam Destiny last time but soft ground may have been against him and he could do much better on a sounder surface. Bronson In Blue won over 3m at Leopardstown in March and has been acquitting himself well in Britain since. Kieren Buckley's valuable 5lb claim will help his cause.
Prediction : 1st Noble Birth 2nd Ballyadam Destiny 3rd Bronson In Blue
