Newcomer Pearl Eye looks the part on paper as a son of Expert Eye and he has to be of interest, though a market watch may give a better idea of his current abilities. Second on her Redcar debut and a three-length third at York since, she has her first start for a new yard here and, dropped in class, may come home in front where it matters.

A determined winner at Doncaster recently, NIFALIOPHOBIA overcame long odds to come out on top and there may be more to come from the son of Zoffany off a 5lb higher mark. Talamanca (also engaged to run at Leicester on Sunday) wasn't beaten far at Lingfield on his handicap debut and is likely to be thereabouts again, with the drop back in trip expected to suit. Poppy Field and Sassy Redhead are not out of things either.
