SILMANIYA has been bumping into some smart sorts and can gain a deserved victory now. The Expert Eye filly has been runner-up on her last couple of outings and both the horses that have beaten her, Mauiewowie and Badb, have been stakes placed since. She was also third to subsequent Group 2 winner Statuette on her debut so her form looks rock solid. Borletti is a bit of a hard one to work out. He has a lofty enough mark of 94, largely based on his fifth placed run in the Railway Stakes, but hasn't really lived up to that kind of rating since. Tiger Paw disappointed on his second outing at the Curragh having shaped with promise first time at Dundalk. He is tried in a tongue-tie and cheekpieces on his return and may be best watched.
Prediction : 1st Silmaniya 2nd Borletti 3rd Tiger Paw

EMPRESS OF BOUGH ran with credit on her handicap debut at Down Royal and looks up to landing a race of this standard. She missed the kick that day, over five furlongs, but stayed on to finish fifth to Fine Distraction and wasn't beaten far at the line. This extra furlong could prove ideal. The consistent Cailin Cliste got a 4lb rise for her neck victory at Fairyhouse last month and could go well again. She had a few of these in behind then including the third and fourth, Jupiter Express and Walking On Clouds, and those rivals are obviously a few pounds better off now.
Prediction : 1st Empress Of Bough 2nd Cailin Cliste 3rd Walking On Clouds

This looks like a nice opportunity for MUTASARREF to make his mark at stakes level. The Dark Angel gelding has won three since joining Ger Lyons this season and was impressive when beating a couple of these rivals, San Andreas and Belle Image, in a conditions race at Naas last time. Seven furlongs looks an ideal trip for him and with a mark of 105 he's entitled to be a big player at listed level now. Snapraeterea is top rated in the field with a rating of 110 but returns from an absence and his final two runs last season were below par. A bigger threat may be the filly Cigamia who prevailed in a tight finish when landing the Cairn Rouge Stakes at Killarney last month. This looks a bit more competitive but she has to have a big shout, getting a nice bit of weight.
Prediction : 1st Mutasarref 2nd Cigamia 3rd Snapraeterea

SISTINE MADONNA may be able to defy a hike for her easy maiden win at Gowran last month. The Dark Angel filly really seemed to enjoy front-running tactics then when posting a cosy three-and-a-half length win. The handicapper stuck her up 11lb for that victory but last time was her first outing on fast ground on turf and she remains unexposed. Might And Mercy has been running well and could be a danger off bottom weight. The Pearl Secret filly may benefit from dropping back a furlong having failed to see out her effort over a mile at Leopardstown on her last two starts. Affable is a previous course and distance winner and she may appreciate going back up to seven here.
Prediction : 1st Sistine Madonna 2nd Might And Mercy 3rd Affable

A tricky looking contest and CHICAGO LIGHTENING may prove the safest bet. Johnny Murtagh's charge lost out narrowly on her last outing at Gowran Park and only went up a pound for her short-head defeat to Helmet Star. That looks to give her a big chance of gaining some compensation. Cheeky Peek ran well at a big price on her handicap debut over course and distance back in June and off the same mark of 57 she can be given a shout. Coffeemeanscoffee also ran well on her last visit here, when third over a furlong shorter, and looks another for the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Chicago Lightening 2nd Cheeky Peek 3rd Coffeemeanscoffee

Irish Oaks third CAIRDE GO DEO looks the pick at the weights here. The Camelot filly ran a solid race when third in the classic at the Curragh last month and can add a Group 3 victory to her two Listed successes already in the bag this season. She is a stout stayer and handles this nice ground well so this race looks tailor made. Tranquil Lady is top-rated in the field but has to give the selection 3lb so there is nothing between them on the book. Cairde Go Deo actually finished in front of her rival in the Salsabil Stakes earlier in the year and is fancied to confirm that form. Perotan is the unexposed filly in the field and was impressive when landing Her Majesty's Plate at Down Royal on her most recent start. That was over further and she looks a real staying filly so may find that some of these have a bit more toe dropping back two furlongs.
Prediction : 1st Cairde Go Deo 2nd Tranquil Lady 3rd Perotan

GULLIVER'S TRAVELS shaped nicely on his debut at Leopardstown but didn't step forward from that when beaten at a short price in Limerick last month. The Galileo colt was under pressure from a long way out and after looking like he might fade away overcame traffic problems to stay on well again at the death. Blinkers may sharpen him up now and he looks to have enough ability to land a race of this standard. Hibernia Oppositus looks the obvious danger after a nice run to chase home Agatino on his sole start at Dundalk. That was back in March though and the form of those behind is ordinary enough. The 79-rated Zoffman ran better when third at Leopardstown last time and looks to have place claims again.
Prediction : 1st Gullivers Travels 2nd Hibernia Oppositus 3rd Zoffman
