16:10 Dundalk

The Adrian McGuinness trained Harry’s Bar (best priced at 11/4) has a fantastic record at Dundalk and he should hold strong claims of following up his latest course success. The seven-year-old has impressive form figures of 11321411 at the course in his career and he looks sure to put in another good account at this track.

Harry’s Bar has won the previous three times over 5f but won the listed Belgrave Stakes over this course and distance a couple of years ago. Adam Caffrey rode the gelding to success last time and retains the ride taking off a handy 7lbs off a mark of 110. That will reduce his big weight of 10-10 in this race and I expect him to prove hard to beat from Stall 1.

The Ronald Harris trained Thegreyvgrain (best priced at 8/1) won off a mark of 60 over this course and distance last season and now looks extremely well handicapped off a mark of 48. The six-year-old mare comes into this race in consistent form having placed on her previous three starts and a return to this venue can hopefully mean she can gain a seventh career success.

Thegreyvtrain finished 2nd by 1 ¼ lengths at Bath in June off a mark of 46 before finishing 3rd on her previous two starts at Bath and Ffos Las. The in-form Daniel Muscutt takes over in the saddle and I expect her to run well with up to four places on offer.

Ancestral Land (best priced at 9/4) faces some well bred newcomers in the shape of Sakheer and Magical Sunset but I feel the Clive Cox trained colt will prove hard to beat in this race. The son of Sioux Nation was sent off 5/2 favourite over this course and distance on his debut and ran well to finish 2nd behind the impressive Al Karrar who went on to finish 2nd behind Royal Scotsman in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood.

Adam Kirby stated afterwards that Ancestral Land ‘ran green’ during the race so that can be upgraded and I expect him to get off the mark at the second attempt today.
