Oddschecker tips for every race at York on Wednesday.
DAKOTA GOLD needs little introduction at this stage, winning 14 times including six races here, and the speedy eight-year-old has been knocking on the door recently. He will go forward from his high draw today and could prove tough to peg back. Goodwood runner-up Dusky Lord has little weight on his back and warrants respect wearing first-time blinkers, while Look Out Louis and Ghathanfar are just a couple more with claims in a fiercely competitive sprint. Prediction : 1st Dakota Gold 2nd Dusky Lord 3rd Ghathanfar
An interesting race and one where Local Dynasty could go close after an impressive winning debut at Newmarket over this trip, but a risk is taken on the Richard Hannon-trained HECTIC. He kept on well to score at Newbury on his only start over a furlong shorter and seems sure to be even better suited by this trip. With plenty of improvement possible, he may have the edge here, though it is difficult to discount Irish raider Indestructible or the interesting Shaquille, who could surprise a few here after his eye-catching debut.Prediction : 1st Hectic 2nd Local Dynasty 3rd Indestructible
Charlie Appleby has captured two of the last four runnings of this prestigious contest and boasts another strong hand this year, saddling both Walk Of Stars and Secret State. The hugely-progressive latter - unbeaten in all four starts since his debut - looks the yard's main hope on his Group race debut, but the penny really appeared to drop with Aidan O'Brien's hitherto underwhelming AIKHAL when stepped up to 1m2f at the Curragh last time and the extra distance on offer here should induce further improvement.Prediction : 1st Aikhal 2nd Secret State 3rd Walk Of Stars
The way in which BAAEED finished his races off at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood gives plenty of encouragement that he can follow in the footsteps and Frankel and prove himself a champion over further than 1m. Being a full-brother to the Coronation Cup winner Hukum, there is reason to suggest that he could be even better over this trip and the perfect 10 surely beckons. On the other hand, Mishriff has no queries regarding distance, having won this in style last year. He is the one most likely to expose any chinks in Baaeed's armour, while Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Native Trail cannot be ruled out either. Prediction : 1st Baaeed 2nd Mishriff 3rd Native Trail
Zoffee has performed well in most of the big staying handicaps this season and makes plenty of each-way appeal, likewise Soapy Stevens, who has won two of his last three starts. Alfred Boucher is expected to be thereabouts under William Buick, but the verdict is for MASTER MILLINER, who is 2-3 over track and trip and arrives in excellent form chasing a hat-trick following striking performances at Kempton and Goodwood.Prediction : 1st Master Milliner 2nd Alfred Boucher 3rd Zoffee
INTERNATIONAL GIRL picked up well off a strong pace when winning over 6f at this venue last month. Richard Fahey's charge was raised 7lb for that effort and this looks tougher, but with a similar race set up likely, she could follow up and receives a tentative vote in an open event. Cuban Breeze and Sandbeck ought to remain competitive following their respective victories last time out, while Attagirl, Peggy Sioux and Fast Response shouldn't be underestimated either. Prediction : 1st International Girl 2nd Cuban Breeze 3rd Sandbeck
A devlishly-competitive finale in which the only unbeaten horse in the line-up, Streets Of Gold, has to go on the shortlist. However, he may be worth taking on with fellow nursery debutant MRS U S A, who justified favouritism in impressive style at Sandown last time, having chased home subsequent Listed winner Lady Hollywood at Beverley previously. Utilis may throw up some each-way value off an opening mark which appears workable.Prediction : 1st Mrs U S A 2nd Streets Of Gold 3rd Utilis
