Oddschecker tips for every race at Fontwell on Thursday.
With only two runners heading to post, preference is for the Paul Nicholls-trained HELL RED, who arrives following a comfortable victory at Newton Abbot last month. He drops in trip, but previously made all to win at Uttoxeter over 2m4f and is expected to go in again. Ragamuffin may not be far behind him having struck when upped to 2m5f most recently, though.Prediction : 1st Hell Red 2nd Ragamuffin 3rd null
Runner-up on her last three starts, Hey Frankie merits a lot of consideration but she kept on over 2m7f at Worcester most recently and could need a stiffer stamina test. Preference is for DYNAMIC KATE, who was going well when coming to grief at the final flight at Worcester last month. She finished a respectable third on her two outings prior to that, and Thomasina Eyston's 10lb claim could aid her cause further. Getaway Cory is another to note.Prediction : 1st Dynamic Kate 2nd Hey Frankie 3rd Getaway Cory
FORTUNATE FRED built on his seasonal debut when running a very close second at Newton Abbot last month, and a slight drop in trip could help him to get off the mark. He remains open to improvement, as does Lusaka, who has made a pleasing start to his hurdling career and can be feared. Fit For Flight completes the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Fortunate Fred 2nd Lusaka 3rd Fit For Flight
PERCY'S WORD drops in both trip and class after disappointing over 2m4f at Worcester and with the addition of a first-time tongue-tie, he could bounce back to form. Manor Park looks an obvious threat following his second at Newton Abbot last month, but Hayedo is put forward as the biggest danger. He is 2lb lower than when third at Newton Abbot in June and a subsequent spin on the Flat will have kept him ticking over.Prediction : 1st Percys Word 2nd Hayedo 3rd Manor Park
A chance is taken on hurdling newcomer CAILIN SAOIRSE, who was well backed when making a pleasing stable debut for Alexandra Dunn on the Flat at Ffos Las last month. Providing the daughter of Bated Breath takes to this game, she should go close. Graffiti had Never No Trouble a couple of places behind when runner-up on his hurdling debut at Stratford and could confirm that form, while Uttoxeter third Boudica Warrior also warrants respect. Prediction : 1st Cailin Saoirse 2nd Graffiti 3rd Never No Trouble
L'AIR DU VENT was a respectable runner-up at Newton Abbot last month and the application of first-time cheekpieces and this longer trip may well help him record his third career success. The danger could be Dazzling Glory, who stayed on to good effect when second at Worcester and has the added bonus of her rider claiming 7lb. Dindin has been kept busy throughout the summer and although he's yet to get off the mark on these shores, he's shaped like this distance may be exactly what he needs.Prediction : 1st LAir Du Vent 2nd Dazzling Glory 3rd Dindin
It is hard to get away from SAYWHATYOUWANT, who was an impressive winner at Cartmel on her second start for Donald McCain, and a mark of 107 for her handicap debut is appealing. Fire Lake looks the biggest threat having won her last two, most recently when staying on well at Newton Abbot last month, and another bold bid is forecast. Howdilyoudo had excuses at Uttoxeter and can be forgiven that run.Prediction : 1st Saywhatyouwant 2nd Fire Lake 3rd Howdilyoudo
