Eagle's Realm got off the mark over course and distance and he merits plenty of respect off a 5lb higher figure. That said, preference is for the well-bred GOLD WING, who showed promise in a pair of maiden hurdles last month and she may improve now switched to handicap company. Balearic failed to fire on his handicap bow at Bangor but it is far too soon to be writing him off.
Prediction : 1st Gold Wing 2nd Eagles Realm 3rd Balearic

SEA PRINCE was unfortunate to bump into a progressive rival when finishing second at Bangor last time and a reproduction of that level of form would give him a big chance. Whispering Gypsy showed some promise when filling third place at Worcester four weeks ago and she could prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Petit Palais.
Prediction : 1st Sea Prince 2nd Whispering Gypsy 3rd Petit Palais

MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN finished second over fences off a mark of 138 two starts ago and he was not disgraced in a Grade 3 subsequently. The switch to hurdles should not be a problem for the nine-year-old and he gets the vote. Tardree won well when last seen over the smaller obstacles and it would be no surprise to see him go well, while Tiger Orchid should not be underestimated.
Prediction : 1st Manofthemountain 2nd Tardree 3rd Tiger Orchid

LARCH HILL ran on strongly when scoring at this venue and although raised 3lb, it may not be enough to halt him from notching another victory. This is a slight step up in trip but the extra yardage should suit. La Domaniale has been running consistently well of late, but the 5lb rise for his neck second at Market Rasen may render him vulnerable to some better treated rivals. Destrier is one to consider.
Prediction : 1st Larch Hill 2nd Destrier 3rd La Domaniale

Sergeant has been dropped 1lb after being sent off favourite for his latest outing at Newton Abbott so better can be expected, but preference is for DURRAGH. Donald McCain's mare dug deep to score at Uttoxeter and that resolution will stand her in good stead once more. Encashment was a half-length behind on that occasion and she is now 2lb better off but having been outbattled last time, Brian Hughes' mount is the more reliable proposition.
Prediction : 1st Durragh 2nd Sergeant 3rd Encashment

PORT O'CLOCK hasn't been out of the first three this season and having been dropped 2lb since his Uttoxeter third, and with Fergus Gillard claiming a valuable 3lb, this looks like a good opportunity for David Pipe's charge. Judge Earle won last time out over 3m at Uttoxeter, but a 3lb rise for that three-quarter-length success leaves him vulnerable. Mr Woody could be on the scene.
Prediction : 1st Port Oclock 2nd Judge Earle 3rd Mr Woody

Milton Harris boasts an excellent record in bumpers this year, so SPY LADY might prove hard to beat following a good win in a point-to-point in May. She makes her Rules debut in a first-time hood and looks a force to be reckoned with. Leave Her To Me can build on her racecourse bow at Southwell and must be feared. Amidnightstar completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Spy Lady 2nd Leave Her To Me 3rd Amidnightstar
