Back up to 7f BELL SHOT has to be of major interest at Newbury on Friday. This son of Dark Angel just looked a little tapped for toe when running on for third at Windsor last time but that was still a good effort. His win over C&D prior to that was convincing especially seeing how keen he was. He settled better last time and definitely has more races in him. Next Chapter won well at Redcar last time and looks to have a bright enough future so is the obvious danger. I expect the pair to be battling this one out but I’m happy to side with the selection at a bigger price. Dark Swansong only missed narrowly last time but would only be seriously dangerous here if granted a soft lead. Atomise remains interesting but would need the heavens to open to have a chance here you’d think.

Despite a double penalty the likeable TALAMANCA looks set to bring up a hat-trick of wins at Wolverhampton on Friday night. I made him my NAP at Catterick earlier in the week and he certainly didn’t disappoint. He did well to negotiate a wide draw and was always dictating before holding on well. He is improving with experience and should be extremely hard to beat once more. Taylor Fisher has been replaced by 5lb claimer Aidan Keeley but I’m assuming tactics will remain the same and he will prove hard to catch. Byefornow is likely to improve and that would give her a solid chance of being the main danger to the favourite. Gincident is unexposed and is another one I have on my radar but he does need to improve and given the way this will be run the selection might be away and gone by the time the penny drops.
