Other dangers include Slainte Mhath and Sir Benedict, though they may have to settle for one of the places here.

Charlie and Mark Johnston's two-year-old wasn't beaten far at Goodwood last time and more improvement is likely. The consistent Ramz is another to consider after finishing third of 11 on his previous outing at Haydock over 1m,and this slight step back in trip should suit, while Cynical caught the eye when fourth on his racecourse debut at York and this extra yardage should be a positive.

John Wainwright's five-year-old is an ultra-consistent performer and off the same mark as her second last time at Hamilton over 1m, she could be in the mix. He's been raised 5lb for that one-and-three-quarter-length success, but that may not be enough to stop him from notching another victory. Typical Man heads the remainder.

Tim Easterby's charge was denied a hat-trick last week when second over the extended mile at Beverley and the step back to 1m appears likely to be the perfect tonic.

The four-year-old gelding put five and a half lengths between himself and the second that day and ought to remain competitive if arriving in a similar mood. Gometra Ginty likes it here and is one to watch out for, while you can also make a decent case for Sir Maxi on the form of his penultimate start.
