A case can be made for plenty of these but none more so than HIAWATHA, who has filled second place in both of his previous starts. The son of Camelot is a full-brother to the Group 1-winning juvenile Luxembourg and he merits the utmost respect this afternoon. Fleetfoot and Sea Legend are others who bring strong form claims to the table, while Covent Garden and Hippodrome are newcomers who make the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Hiawatha 2nd Sea Legend 3rd Fleetfoot

In a field consisting only of unraced juveniles, marginal preference is for the Aidan O'Brien-trained CHARLES BIANCONI. He is one of three runners in this contest for the in-form trainer and must be respected given his half-brother won on his debut over 7f at Sandown. Canute's dam was a three-time Group 1 winner and he can be feared, while Continuous is another to bear in mind.
Prediction : 1st Charles Bianconi 2nd Canute 3rd Continuous

Some fascinating contenders here but this might go to PACHMENA, who has run well here on a few occasions and although she's yet to win on turf, maybe this is her day to add to her solitary all-weather victory. Kerkiyra is respected following her victory over shorter here last month and a 4lb rise might not prevent another bold showing, while Onameridance is still very lightly-raced and although she disappointed at Killarney last time, it looks far too early to write off Joseph O'Brien's filly.
Prediction : 1st Pachmena 2nd Kerkiyra 3rd Onameridance

HANS ANDERSEN left a lasting impression when opening his account here on Irish Oaks day last month and can go from strength to strength for his powerful connections. He could make into a Classic horse next year so ought to go very close despite this representing a big step up in class. Stable companion Aesop's Fables won well on his debut at Navan in April but has been off since, which is a slight concern, so perhaps the main danger is the unbeaten fellow C&D winner Proud And Regal.
Prediction : 1st Hans Andersen 2nd Proud And Regal 3rd Aesops Fables

MEDITATE is extremely difficult to get away from judged on her Albany Stakes success at Royal Ascot in June. She maintained her unbeaten record that day and had a subsequent Group 2 scorer back in second, so the form stacks up. Her stable companion Maybe Just Maybe could have more to offer following a taking success second time up at Leopardstown, while Thornbrook represents the in-form Joseph O'Brien yard and she created a deep impression when winning on debut at that same venue.
Prediction : 1st Meditate 2nd Thornbrook 3rd Maybe Just Maybe

Luck in running may play a big part in the outcome here with such a big field, but if LOPES GOLD can bounce back to the form of her better placed efforts on her return to maiden company, she could go close for the Harrington yard. So Beautiful is an obvious danger after her Tipperary third but isn't guaranteed to be at her best over this trip, and Toriangel maybe the one to follow the suggestion home, assuming she is allowed to bowl along on the pace dropping back from a mile.
Prediction : 1st Lopes Gold 2nd Toriangel 3rd So Beautiful

An open event in which many look set to be suited by a step up in trip but marginal preference is for SMOOTH TOM, who drops back into maiden company. Andrew Slattery's charge kept on well over an extended mile at the Galway Festival, filling the runner-up berth, and if running to his official rating of 85, he could prove tough to beat. Hibernia Oppositus finished a good second at Dundalk in March and is respected following a break. Touching Clouds and Zabeir are also considered, while Harley Street shouldn't be underestimated on debut.
Prediction : 1st Smooth Tom 2nd Hibernia Oppositus 3rd Touching Clouds

ALOYSIUS LILIUS was a very good second over 5f at Down Royal, beaten just a short head. Gerard O'Leary's six-year-old didn't have the benefit of a clear run and the handicapper has raised him 3lb, which may prove lenient. Fine Distraction prevailed in that race - his first victory after 31 starts - and commands respect, while Harry's Hill is also a last-time-out winner and should be in the mix.
Prediction : 1st Aloysius Lilius 2nd Fine Distraction 3rd Harrys Hill
