Jilly Cooper showed a smart turn of foot to win at Lingfield last time but watching the race back the pace did collapse somewhat so while she is feared I think she might struggle under a penalty. I prefer the claims of BICEP who clocked a career best himself over C&D last week. He kept finding under pressure and won going away at the finish with the pair some 5 lengths clear from the rest. I like the fact he is proven over track and trip and he remains nicely treated under a penalty. Jilly Cooper could be the one to throw down the biggest challenge but if she fails to fire then Gometra Ginty is unlikely to be far away. She has won 5 times at this track and wasn’t disgraced when third at Carlisle last time so if she builds on that she would also have to be considered.

Sea The Casper impressed winning his first two starts but I didn’t like the way he hung under pressure at Ascot and at a short price I think he might be opposable here. WANDERING ROCKS was really impressive at Doncaster, lengthening away in the style of a really promising horse. The penny looks to have dropped now and going handicapping off a mark of 90 he should have a lot more to come yet. Asaassi and Bizarre Law should go forward so he will get a good pace to aim at and given his size and scope I just think he might end up finding more than his rivals. Tathbeet won at Windsor and then ran well despite being sent off favourite when third to Haskoy at Wolverhampton. Obviously that horse won at York last week so he is one to keep an eye on too.
