I’m confident CHARLIE ARTHUR is going to run another big race here. He only went down a length at Kempton last time and the winner Tequilamockingbird looks a progressive sort. He has been running well all season and back on turf off a lower mark he looks to have more going for him than most in here. He was given a fair bit to do at Windsor on penultimate start and had to come wide but was only beaten a length and a half. If he gets a better run through here he could take a bit of beating. Curtiz won over a mile here this time last year so he could be the danger. There has been a fair bit of money for him this morning. Daphne May has the ability but doesn’t always apply it but still noted. Opticality ran her best race to date when second to One Step Beyond last time and if building on that might not be far away either.

With Frankie Dettori booked for the ride I can see ZAMAN JEMIL going close at Newcastle tonight. This Invincible Spirit colt certainly needed the run on debut when nearer last than first at Salisbury. He quickly left that behind when fourth to Mill Stream at Doncaster though and that looks solid form now. He then missed just a head at Pontefract last time where he was only just denied and any further improvement on handicap debut would see him the one to beat. Sioux Nation colt Minnesota Lad is the threat as he won nicely staying on well at Beverley last time and should appreciate the extra yardage here on nursery debut. Prairie Falcon also brings winning form to the table having won at Goodwood last time. A 2lb rise looks very fair and if handling this surface he is unlikely to be far away. Tanzanite also has a squeak too.
