I backed RED MIRAGE at Chester last time and I didn’t think he did a lot wrong. He just bumped into a very good yardstick in Fools Rush In who loves that track. He runs off the same mark and while this is a better quality of race he is still open to further improvement himself. He has won over this C&D before and I don’t see any reason to abandon him now. Rhythm Master improved off the back of a gelding operation to win at Newcastle last time and he could be the danger up just 2lb from that. At a bigger price Tiger Crusade looked to be going places winning at Kempton but hasn’t really gone on since. He is back down to a handy mark now though and wasn’t beaten far at all last time so no surprise to see him rattle the frame at least here. Royal Parade is interesting now handicapping but he did only beat 2 rivals last time so is untested really.
