Runner-up on her last two starts, HI CLARE seeks to shed her maiden tag on her handicap debut. She kept on well for second on her most recent run at Nottingham and the Kodiac filly looks likely to have more in her locker, despite being burdened with carrying top weight. Don't Fight It steps back up in trip having gone very close over 5f at Musselburgh on Wednesday, while Nifaliophobia is another to note.
Prediction : 1st Hi Clare 2nd Dont Fight It 3rd Nifaliophobia

Venetian found no extra when facing a strong challenge over 2f out on his most recent run over 7f, so a step up to 1m could see him struggle. Therefore, preference is for ROYAL ATHENA, who finished an eye-catching third on her racecourse bow over this trip at Kempton and, if getting away the mark on level terms, she could well improve to go two better on her turf debut. Bowland Prince completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Royal Athena 2nd Venetian 3rd Bowland Prince

A considerable drop in class could see SHINE ON BRENDAN make a return to the winner's enclosure. He was far from disgraced in a class 3 at Doncaster earlier this month and won off a 3lb lower mark the time before over this trip at Ayr, coincidentally in this grade. He looks capable of giving a good account, while the application of first-time cheekpieces could help Ayr Poet sneak further into contention. Breckland is another to consider after scoring at Musselburgh on Thursday.
Prediction : 1st Shine On Brendan 2nd Ayr Poet 3rd Breckland

William Haggas saddled the winner of this contest 12 months ago and he appears to have another excellent chance with CANTERBURY BELL this time around. The Ribchester filly has won three of her last four starts and could improve further for the application of first-time blinkers. Pink Carnation certainly wasn't disgraced in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot and she is respected in this much easier contest, while Typical Woman and Smiling Jayne also hold claims.
Prediction : 1st Canterbury Bell 2nd Pink Carnation 3rd Typical Woman

As in the previous race, William Haggas looks to win this contest for the second year in a row and PRIDE OF PRIORY gives him a superb chance of doing just that. The Pivotal gelding has rattled off three wins in a row, with the most impressive of those victories coming at Ascot last time, and a further 6lb rise might not be enough to anchor him. Haliphon's latest form reads very well, with the second winning and finishing runner-up in the Ebor since, and he won't give up on the hat-trick without a fight, while Forza Orta and Dark Jedi are just a couple more with claims.
Prediction : 1st Pride Of Priory 2nd Haliphon 3rd Forza Orta

Having been narrowly denied by the reopposing Clan Jock on his penultimate start, RALPHY BOY TWO gained immediate compensation with a success of his own. With Ryan Sexton's 5lb claim taken into account, Ewan Whillans' charge finds himself on 1lb better terms than for that defeat, and he can reverse the form. Lochnaver won a similar event at this venue last month and she heads the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Ralphy Boy Two 2nd Clan Jock 3rd Lochnaver

ZIG ZAG ZYGGY hinted at a return to form when fourth behind the reopposing Burj Malinka over C&D 10 days ago and, having last won from a mark of 80 when trained in Ireland, he looks too well treated to ignore here off 62. Impressor has been holding a consistent level of form recently and must go on the shortlist this evening, along with recent Leicester scorer Basholo, who could be involved from a 3lb higher mark.
Prediction : 1st Zig Zag Zyggy 2nd Burj Malinka 3rd Impressor
