13:15 Thirsk

Secret Equity remains a maiden after 13 starts but was far from disgraced when a length second at Carlisle on her first appearance in over seven months. She may well prove the biggest danger to POLAM LANE, who was a neck second at Wolverhampton last time and is already a winner this season at Carlisle. He runs off the same mark as he did at Dunstall Park, which is a bonus. Miss Calculation and Blazing Hot are also entitled to have a say.
Prediction : 1st Polam Lane 2nd Secret Equity 3rd Miss Calculation

13:45 Thirsk

Pol Roger kept on well to get off the mark over a furlong shorter at Haydock, with the possibility of more to come, but he does have to give weight all round and preference for SHE'S HOT. Second after being hampered at the start in a better contest at Glorious Goodwood, the Coles' filly looks all set to gain compensation here. Oh So Charming and Super Spy are newcomers worthy of a watching brief.
Prediction : 1st Shes Hot 2nd Pol Roger 3rd Oh So Charming

14:20 Thirsk

Rose Of Ithaca caught the eye when fourth on her Kempton introduction, running on late, and she could prove the biggest danger to KITTYKARMA. The Richard Fahey-traned youngster was green at the back of the field on her Catterick debut before keeping on well to come home fourth, and any improvement may make her the one to beat. Churchella is an interesting newcomer as a daughter of Churchill and the mile looks a sensible starting point.
Prediction : 1st Kittykarma 2nd Rose Of Ithaca 3rd Churchella

ABATE found things happening a bit quickly for him over the minimum trip when third at Nottingham a fortnight ago so back over 6f, and just 1lb above his last winning mark, he gets the nod. Intrinsic Bond goes for the hat-trick and must be considered in his current form, although the one to give the selection most concern might be Pendleton after a good second here when last seen back in June.
Prediction : 1st Abate 2nd Pendleton 3rd Intrinsic Bond

15:30 Thirsk

Another ferociously competitive handicap, but EQUIANO SPRINGS could be the one to side with after his victory at Newmarket last time. A 5lb rise makes life tougher, but Tom Tate's son of Equiano won with a bit in hand there so he's fancied to follow up. Carnival Zain is in rude health at present and with Aiden Brooks taking off a valuable 5lb, he's fancied to go close. Billyb is just one other in-form contender who can't be discounted.
Prediction : 1st Equiano Springs 2nd Carnival Zain 3rd Billyb

16:00 Thirsk

WHEAL KITTY finally got off the mark when just getting up over C&D, and a 2lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent another bold showing from Bryan Smart's filly. Cobra Kai was a comfortable winner at Ayr on his debut for Keith Dalgleish and has since gone close again when second here a fortnight ago, so he's not discounted. Bungley returned to winning ways in a claimer at Beverley and with her confidence restored, she is another who could run well.
Prediction : 1st Wheal Kitty 2nd Cobra Kai 3rd Bungley

16:30 Thirsk

In a contest comprising several likely contenders, marginal preference is for ON THE RIVER. The Ben Haslam-trained gelding kept on well to score by a length on his most recent run over C&D, and a 3lb raised mark may not be enough to stop him here. Ravenglass has gone up 5lb for his Redcar triumph and is a threat, with the class-dropping Boasted another to note.
Prediction : 1st On The River 2nd Ravenglass 3rd Boasted

17:05 Thirsk

The class-dropping Spantik merits a lot of consideration on his return to turf, but LORD CAPRIO secured a comprehensive victory on his most recent outing over 1m6f at Ripon and the fact he kept on to win despite being briefly left short of room could mean there is more to come. Mister Camacho has finished runner-up on his last two starts and could also have a say in proceedings.
Prediction : 1st Lord Caprio 2nd Spantik 3rd Mister Camacho
