UK Horse Racing Tips: Tipperary

The well-bred BELATUCADROS might turn Fairyhouse form with Paulliac. He is a half-brother to eight winners, most notably French 1,000 Guineas winner Tie Black, but while his form is nothing special, he shaped as though he would improve for stepping up in distance in last month's Fairyhouse maiden. Paulliac, in contrast, might be stretched over this distance and while useful at best, his latest effort over five furlongs was disappointing. Mount King showed promise on easy ground at Galway and, with improvement, might get involved.

LIBRARY was checked when finishing behind Amusement at Leopardstown in July before improving with a solid effort to fill the runner-up spot at that venue 15 days ago. She can now progress past Amusement, who is herself useful, but vulnerable to smart types. Bella Blue Eyes, out of a Listed winner, is a sister to a German Group 1 winner and represents a formidable team on debut.

EMPORIO has a concerning 425 days absence to overcome but was quite capable. Frustrating to follow, he nonetheless finished fifth in the 2021 Irish 2,000 Guineas and won a useful Curragh maiden on his last start. Well suited by race conditions and ground-versatile, he has an encouraging entry in the Cambridgeshire next month. Freescape finished fourth to Lord Glitters in a Meydan Group 2 on turf in February and while smart, may have been flattered by that run as his best form and all five wins have come on the all-weather. Longbourn was well held at Ballinrobe but has race-fitness on his side and receives weight, under his 3lb claimer.

AGARTHA was unsuited by firm ground when finishing last in the Belmont Oaks last month and may bounce back to form on a softer surface. Runner-up in last year's Group 1 Moyglare, she ran well when fifth in the 1,000 Guineas in May and has strong claims on that form. Illuminazione looked smart when beating the 107-rated Honey Girl on debut at Dundalk last month. Both reappear over a similar distance but on a different surface and while Honey Girl has smart Group form, Illuminazione is open to further improvement.

Three of EROSANDPSYCHE's four wins have come over course and distance and holds some of these rivals on previous form. The gelding has beaten Moss Tucker the four occasions the pair have previously met and while 3lb worse off today for a length-and-a-quarter win recently, he can just about confirm placings. Moss Tucker is similarly dependable and while the pair were beaten by Ano Syro at the Curragh in June, the filly was receiving weight then. Ano Syra, to her credit, was second at Group 3 level over six furlongs recently and has solid claims, being a progressive three-year-old with a high rating of 103.

RED TRAIL has a wide draw in 14 but ran well on handicap debut. She finished her race well at the Curragh and the extra furlong could help turn form with Wayne R Walker, who is consistent but slightly more exposed and is 2lb worse off. Not Just Any Eagle won a similar race on handicap debut at Cork and while 7lb higher, should figure, being still somewhat unexposed. Yokkell has been running consistently well without winning, while Adam's Angel seemed to appreciate stepping up in distance when fourth at Gowran in May and is respected.

EXTENSIO won the Apprentice Derby on his latest start and is suited by conditions. He gave connections a memorable win at the Curragh in July and while 5lb higher, his same rider is able to utilise her full 10lb claim today. Wojood bids for a hat-trick having won over hurdles at Ballinrobe and on the flat from 8lb lower at Tramore, but isn't helped by a wide draw in 21. Blackpoint and Storm Steps are matched on recent course and distance form, while Kalaroun was found to be coughing post-race on his latest run and has Billy Lee's assistance.
